I'm dying to tell you!! Very soon, you'll see! ^___^ Small hint: my job at Gameloft Montreal is Community Manager.
I'll ask when I get into the office tomorrow, promise! My cat doesn't have enough seniority to make those kinds of decisions.
Hey ES so far I've only seen MC3 by Gameloft Montreal, is that (gameloft montreal) a relatively new studio or have they secretly worked on other games in the past?
I can see why you're community manager. Great sense of humor my friend. Keep it up. If Gameloft would only have more PR people like your their public image would just be many times better.
Actually guys what we need to do is go to the Gameloft blog where they specifically ask for our wishlists and just each leave a comment there with pretty much identical requests. -better hacker protection -ability to adjust graphics to boost performance/effects or enable retina while disabling effects -balanced weapons -a permanent ban on people confirmed to have been cheating (UDID and/or IP) -a co-op mode -some way to vote/allow host to kick cheaters from matches -voice chat (with mute) -more killstreaks, controllable killstreaks, customizable killstreaks -kill sgt. downs at the beginning of the campaign, have him die a slow, agonizing death while drinking cold coffee. What else? I'm pretty tired I'm sure I forgot at least 5 things. Edit: sorry about the 3 posts in a row, I'm on the app and there isn't a multi quote so, yeah sorry about that.
Do u know about any graphics effects like nova 3 ragdall partical water cloth system? And will it run full effects on the new iPad and 4s?
Nova 3 didn't have any water effects or cloth physics. I think you're thinking of Horn. Edit: now I know why Gameloft employees never join TA forums and are active. They get bombarded by questions from everyone (including me!).
Actually, Gameloft Montreal is a pretty big studio, been around for awhile. Couple of titles we've played a part in creating: Monster Life Asphalt 7: Heat Dungeon Hunter III Gangstar Rio: City of Saints Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus Dungeon Hunter II Asphalt 6: Adrenaline Gangstar: Miami Vindication Dungeon Hunter To name a few... The Gameloft studios work together during development, and they all play their part in creating these titles. We're pretty worldwide... if that answers your question. More specifically the Modern Combat 4 core production team is here in Montreal. And most of them are probably reading this right now. (hi guys)
And it's comments like that one that make me love my job. Also, inflate my ego to dangerous levels You guys are gonna get sick of my cheesy jokes in a month, though.
I can tell you that we really went all out to make this the best looking installment yet. As for the specifics, you'll have to wait.....but not that long.
Hahahaha, well you know.... if I wasn't answering questions from our fans, my work day wouldn't be quite as fun. So keep em coming
If you stick around (not even posting constantly like this, but answering questions here and there every week or so) for a month, we'll be to grateful to mind the occasional cheesy joke and I for one enjoy them And wow never knew GL Montreal worked on so many titles...thought MC3 was the only one since that's the only title where their name comes up at the beginning. Well I enjoyed almost all of those games, especially DH2, Asphalt 6 &7 and MC2. Of course mc3 well.
Actually, THE TABLES HAVE TURNED. (muahahah hahah...ha...*cough*) I have a question for YOU You all seem well versed in all things Modern Combat. This forum is a great example of how awesome our fans are... You might know about some of the MC fansites? Some of you might even have some as well? If you do, send them to me by private message through TA, or even by email at [email protected]. (just to not flood the forum with links) Ive seen SO much great stuff so far, but I'd love to discover what else there is out there in the Series of Tubes.
That's pretty much what was said about NOVA 3...I'm assuming you'll be surpassing that game in overall graphical excellence or is that also a taboo topic? How about this: on supported devices (don't need to tell us what those are) does the game run at a fairly stable framerate like mc3 did? I'm really hoping so because NOVA 3, while a lot of fun, didn't run too well on a5 devices and on my iPad 3 to get a stable framerate I had to turn off retina. I'm hoping this time around with mc4 there'll be a little better resource management.
You've been Sanned This thread....... has just been SANNED. He is definitely from Gameloft, AND a senior member of TA? #swag
Can you tell us anything about the story, how many hours it will last, any returning characters, etc?
