I saw that long time ago... Not too impressive. Alert maps now looks like less campy but other than that not really

Yah, i just recently noticed the recoil, and it looked alot like mc2's recoild, which made me happy:) And alert has always been my fav map because of its similarity to avalanche in mc2 (how the gameplay turns out:).

    Look out your window.
It's compatible. Just probably won't run very well.

    Like, at all.

A very nice post, thank you Alex.

I consider this exactly what the game needed.
Perks are rank based as they should be which means the skilled long term players have their customisation options there.

All weapons available from the start simply means that skill can not be outdone by a long term player (long term doesn't mean skill, it just means more time to play) with high powered weapons.
A genius idea in my opinion.
Many complained about rank 90 throwing knives and prototype in mc3. Now that can't happen in this.
Plus if they are as balanced as Alex says (and I'm sure they are), the attachments will take time to learn and tailor for each persons individual style of play, which every person has.

As far as iap is concerned, if someone comes in, buys all the guns and attachments, they are still limited by having to find an attachment tailoring system for themselves, which considering the amount of options will take a long time to perfect.
As guns are balanced but have different characteristics, I see no advantage there whatsoever and will personally be going down the road of learning the maps first and buying weapons (with in game currency) after that.

Plus everybody seems to be missing the point that you don't have to be a day one purchaser now. How do you think those that bought the last game after a couple of months out felt when they hopped into a game and came across rank 90 me or anyone else with overpowered zxd and ops/prototype and throwing knives? It may have been fun for me to destroy the noobs but I doubt if it was fun for the noobs.

It has become very clear that the perks will be key to your own skill level and rank in the game and the weapons will be solely down to personal preference with no specific overpowered gain.
I think the game has grown up to exactly what it should be.

As far as iap. Mehhh, so what. You can't buy perks. If you want to be one of those that needs the instant gratification and all guns bought straight away, off ya go, it won't buy you skill or perks, so its irrelevant. And you'll still have to invest the time to learn each weapons characteristics and its characteristics with the different attachments. I see no advantage to iap there at all. As it should be.

Put very simply, it looks exactly like tactics and skill are what will be key to prospering in the game, not money and free time to buy and unlock stuff. Exactly back to what made some early Fps console games classics. Can't wait now.

Nice one Alex and CM and all the Montreal team.

I liked Trayarchs method where all the guns were 2,000. I've never achieve a gold cameo because I would always get bored with the current weapon which is why I get bothered when Gameloft does this. In MC3, using the same gun gets boring and you're limited by [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅5̲̅)̲̅$̲̅].

Although a completely different genre, triggerfist was a great example. The guns were VERY balanced, level 2's could completely own level 17's. Also, maybe the iaps will be like the hilarious pointless ones in "world at arms". In that game, You could either pay 2 dollars for 2000 coins, or EASILY make around 50,000 coins in a couple of hours. :D great system there.

Gameloft Alex's comments put my mind at ease. I'm ready to buy this on release again. I'm glad he came on here and put some things to rest. It's time for everyone to give Gameloft a break. Mc2, and Mc3 were great games. I'm sure Mc4 will be the same. Let's get ready to do some battle, ( Hopefully next Thursday)

Figured it probably wasn't as bad as it seemed...

Thanks for the enlightenment Alex, much appreciated.

The leaderboards are always wacky at first. Most likely its a glitch and not a hack. Same happened with nova 3 on the first day it came out.

Its a hack, I got it from a dude on some forum who said, "Im gonna go try and hack this game" comes back 5 minutes later with that pic I posted. Albeit it isnt a ground breaking hack like super speed and unlimited ammo and it is on android but still concerning, after all that was stated on anti hacking.
