    It's a good trailer, and I hope that MC4 is greater than MC3. :)

IAP + any weapon can be bought from the start. There's no need to play the game for +200 hours like in previous MCs if you have some pretty money.

So guys, I just found this out, The original leak was from the samsungapps store it was on there for a brief moment for free. Maybe they are testing a freemium model of the game, I dont know, we will just have to wait for the game to come out I guess.

I'd be shocked if the new Modern Combat was Freemium, but knowing Gameloft ...

Lol, gameloft already confirmed that they had acknowledged the leak and that it had nothing to do with them no matter what anyone else said.

I'm pretty sure they optimized the game with ios mainly in mind so I would expect that while faster phones might run it slowly ios phones might run it better...

Where did they say that it had nothing to do with them.

    Many emails.
    CM posted same thing here.
It was not a release version and it was not meant to go public. It was not pre alpha, but it was beta type form. Figure out yourself what that means because I couldn't be bothered reading the wave of disagreement from others if I state what kind of build it was and what that particular builds purpose was.
The Samsungapps link was also active for a very short period of time (and to be clear, it was not meant to be active and available to the public and itself was ip hacked at one stage). Any one downloaded through that means has been blocked and requires update that doesn't come and then the licence is blocked.
So the supposed "legitimate" means it was got is now blocked and the software itself useless as its licence has been deactivated.
Of course that leaves everybody else who are using hacked versions that were not downloaded from the previous mentioned source. My attitude to those people is perfectly clear and doesn't require restating. Suffice to say it is not positive.
With reference to this email [email protected] , it does work, it does get read and it does get taken on board.
However, a caveat is that if you are rude, derogatory, insulting, swear and basically like half the posts on this forum now, you won't get a reply.
If you're civilised and put in a reasonable request or comment, you'll get an answer. This I know for a fact.

Also consider that this is indeed a very difficult situation for Gameloft to deal with. They are not happy about it.
You can take it as gospel that very senior people are now investigating and attempting to form a solution that will work for everybody. It is not CM's responsibility at this stage to reply or comment as very senior operations management is now taking control. So don't criticise her, she has bosses just like everybody else. A statement will be forthcoming, but not here, it will be directly to press.

If you think those that are playing it now on a pirated version will continue to play using their current log ins, think again.
Plus it's the android version, isn't it the iOS version that we are waiting for? If this does point to anything, it shows the flaws of android and its lack of protection against piracy and hacking.

And don't for a minute think the hacks to the android leak will work for the iOS one or that said holes won't actually be blocked in the final release one.

And finally, the worst news of all. It is very possible that this will have a delaying effect for the rest of us. If it is pre alpha, well then, no major problem that later builds would have blocked out security holes. However, if its gold master or late beta, we all have a major problem on our hands as more security and hack prevention measures shall now have to be built.
Of course, as its android and not iOS build, us apple users might just get away with it.

    PS.
    @squarezero.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are the man.
Without doubt, one of the most reasonable and sensible moderators I've ever come across. Easily the best. Keep up the good work.

Well if that's true I just hope Gameloft fixed this IAP fiasco. The chances of this happening is the same as the probability that 2012 will occur.

At each device's native resolution, the SGX543MP2 in the A5 in the iPhone 4S actually has the same or better graphical performance as the Mali-400MP4 in the Galaxy S3. So A5 devices should get decent results.

Has Gameloft indicated how far back they are going with device support? I wouldn't be surprised if they make it scalable all the way back to 3rd gen devices so 5th gen A5 devices are hardly the lowest performance rung. Besides, MC3 should have already been along in development as A5 devices were being released so didn't likely make best use of the chip. MC4 is really the first Modern Combat game to fully take advantage of the A5 from the beginning of development. With the A6 only being 2 months old, it wouldn't have been a development target until recently, so they wouldn't have set out to develop a game that only runs well on the A6. Most likely the A5 is the development sweet-spot with some scaling allowance for newer and older devices.

Yeah, CM, surely you can give us a list of compatible devices now?

This. Thank you. I love how some people are so demanding of Gameloft to answer for what happened here and are literally wishing death upon people but can't understand a basic chain of command. CM or ES are here as public relations, not anti-piracy so don't take it out on them. They too are awaiting answers from their superiorors and will report back when they have relevant information to give. cut them some slack. Quite frankly, I wouldn't blame them if they didn't show there faces here again considering the childish way some are acting right now.

Quoting a post from a few pages back; it was stuck in a moderation queue and while I approved it, nobody is going to see it if I don't copy it here.

Fair enough. I'm a little dubious that "no weapon is better that another" but ok. Glad to see someone caring to respond to some of these. And that's a pretty fair point that equal ranks had nearly identical loadouts.

@RebornProphet: it's totally not worth it. Feel free to believe what you like, I will do likewise and we won't bother each other ;)

Right on,Well I will also gift a game to someone or you can can gift it to someone who really can't afford it or you can always donate the money to a great charity that will feed the homeless or help children with cancer or autism or any other great and noble cause (It's entirely up to you).I actually wouldn't mind if Gameloft would charge more for the game but donate a certain percentage of their proceeds to charity...........Especially since it's the holiday season and the season of giving.
    Happy holidays to you too!!
Do you want to play MC4 Multiplayer together when it comes out?

I understand and totally agree with what you said. There are some people, however, that are taking this a little too far. You are right, this thing has definitely spun out of control.

Even after Alex's post I still don't get it... What are ranks for(besides perks) if you can get any gun from start? Seriously I liked the ranking up system...
