Mother of god. MMO: Console: MC4: 1. I wasn't serious. B. Whatever you're about to say, I already know. D. This game is going to be ******* awesome.
MMO = Massively Multiplayer Online Unless MC4 has 100+ player games, I don't see this becoming an MMO. Speaking of MMOFPS, didn't Planetside 2 come out recently?
Counterstrike is not an MMO... An MMO is a massive multiplayer online game that supports hundreds/thousands of players at the same time on the same server and is typically an mmorpg...
Fukin a I know what an MMO is. I meant MMOFPS. Google it. Bad choice of comparison. Sorry. I don't even care
Personally, I think it look like an FPS, kind of like MC2. But, that might be because I don't really know of thatt many non RPG MMO games. I hope that people a uptake play Barebones, because if it is like Destruction in MC3 where there were practically no lobbies for it, then it would be pretty bad.
I know what an MMOFPS is, but I did Google it, and here's Wikipedia's take on it: Anyways, thanks for bringing it up. Reminded me that PS2 was out, and I downloaded it.
Dust 541 or something... That game is going to be free to play mmo fps. I think fps games could be mmo
MMOFPS qualifies as MMO, yes. They're not exclusively"10000+ player games" anymore. Sorry for off topic (even though it wasn't off topic) don't ban me. No.
There are very few legitimate MMOFPS games out there. Dust 514 is one, FireFall is another, the Planetside games are, and there are plenty more out there. I wouldn't consider games like MAG to be MMOFPSs, and for good reason. An MMO is a persistent world, and those games are individual matches on big, big maps. I don't see anyone calling Quake an MMOFPS. That's my argument. It's entirely possible; Shadowgun: Deadzone did, Heroes of Order & Chaos did, and Order & Chaos did. It's very likely.
My argument is that "MMO" has a broader meaning now. Free to play shooters qualify as MMO's, more specifically MMOFPS/MMOTPS Combat Arms Cross fire AVA blacklight BF heroes and BF free to play Team fortress 2 Arma 2 Mission against terror Operation 7 Shall I go on?
You know what I'm worried about guys? The attachment system is going to cost a lot of money and that will either come from buying gold coins or having to play for a long time to truly enjoy the attachment system and the varied combinations one can make. Looking at the dev diary, it seems there are way way too many attachments for it to make sense. I saw like 5 attachments just related to gun control and recoil. I expect a big learning curve ahead with mc4 attachment system.
If you follow this, then Call of Duty also fits. None of these games are MMOs. They're Peer-2-Peer multiplayer games. An MMO is persistent, and these games are anything but. "By necessity, they [MMOs] are played on the Internet, and feature at least one persistent world."
Be that as it may, they are all condsidered and catagorized as MMO's, whether they actually are or not, by the MMO community. Which by the way, I am not of.
why and how because when I got a tmobile hotspot I was no longer able to play mc3 online, I was just wandering if MC4 was different, sorry for getting off topic.
Websites like MMOHut and such only put them on the site because they're free to play. It doesn't matter if they're an MMO or not; if the price tag to start is $0, they're reporting on it.
Will you guys please stfu about this mmmho bullshit? Sorry, but it's really useless an we want to hear stuff related to mc4 only.
too many attachments, gonna have to spend a lot of money just on one gun, or just find a setup that works in almost every game mode and range
