So you like the resistance franchise that was a flop and don't like halo that is a huge success. Why would developers even care about what you like ?
To be honest FPS' have a unique ability to present a very personal story due to their perspective. Black Ops was quite good, MW1 and 2 as well. Call of Duty is short but sweet. It doesn't take tens of hours to deliver a story, it does it quickly. People have a love-hate relationship with CoD in particular, but I see a trend that BO1 story is mostly regarded as very good. And come on, who else remembers that horrible moment when Ghost got shot? Or the slow-mo knife headshot at the end? I don't expect a memorable story in MC4, it's Gameloft after all, but at least decent plot with decent AI. I hate hacking AI, the wallhacking aimbots in AI are so obvious sometimes it ruins the game.
I think campaign is needed to set a theme to the game. The multiplayer too. It would be really random if we'd just have a more futuristic multiplayer setting without even knowing why.
I agree to some point. But Eliminate pro didn't have any singleplayer campaign and yet everyone knew what's it all about (the short intro scene was just enough). Most people buy FPS games because of multiplayer games anyway and some companies are even considering making the campaign free, just for the advertisement purpose for multiplayer. Campaign doesent really play a big role in a multiplayer FPS.
Yes...it's not included obviously looking at the vids, but I enjoyed the co-op campaign of rainbow 6.
No those two are not comparable. Rainbow six is more or less strategy/tactic based (rainbow 6 is is less strategy/tactics based - that's why it completely sucked, it wasn't stealth based at all). MC series are just mindless bullet spreading games (complain all you want but that's mostly true). Nvm...don't wanna get off-topic.
Alright they're different games, but I would still appreciate a co-op mode is future update, as an IAP, or in MC5. Spec ops, zombies, co-op campaign, whatever.
Co-op is just plain boring. I rather them to make lobbies for MP or party system so you could be on the same side and talk to each others
Don't mix zombies with "usual" co-op campaigns. We weren't talking about zombies. I doubt that gameloft would make a zombie co-op anyway, maybe Activision/treyarch could sue them, but the most important thing is that COD Zombies would be a huge competitor on iOS. Doubt gameloft could compete and win against them (even on their own homefield).
Activision/treyarch don't own the sole rights or have a patent or copyright on coop zombie games so they couldn't legally sue them anyway. This won't need either, it'd bloat the app size and couldn't get people to play coop in rainbow six and black ops zombies ios is broken now.
