Yes, the cheapskates would be really annoyed. Btw, ES. I'm not saying Gameloft is a bad company because I think some of the games like Modern combat and the Nova series are the best on iOS. It's just frustrating when you buy the game at release for 6.99, the 2 months later it's .99 cents.
So you can either wait two extra months to play it or spend six extra dollars. I think gameloft needs sales to keep selling their games after release.
The top selling games on the appstore are all indie mini games. The only time gameloft makes it to the top of the appstore is the week of the release or when the game goes on sale while indie games stay on the top charts forever. If anything, we should feel sorry for big game developers that spend millions to make a game that sells so poorly they have to sell it for a dollar. Imagine if console games like CoD sold for a dollar...
iOS AAA titles $7 Console/PC AAA titles $60 Seeing as how I have gotten over 300 hours of playtime out of my $7 for MC3, it was a sweet deal. To put that in perspective, I have spent a total of 70 hours on MW2, 9 hours in Resident Evil 5, 30 hours in Dead Space 2, 12 hours in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, etc etc. I get more playtime out of cheaper, iOS titles than I do out of big budget, big cost PC titles.
Are you talking about www.modern-combat.net ? I went there and it says latest article was the behind the scenes one from 17/10. Is the new specialization frontline info new? I don't see a video there either. No need to be a dick.
Hacker fix....anyway the speed hack. Now they need to fix the unlimited ammo hack. I hope the version 4 of the game will be better in anti hax
Sounds like my playing history on iOS. I've spent over 300 hours on Mc2, 40 hours on Mc3, 400 hours on Cod zombies, 30 hours on Dead space among many other games. All these games were bought on release. Money well spent. @Handtoaster. The reason some of the indie games are near the top of the charts is because they are so cheap. That is one of the major reasons. Top quality games that are released at 6.99 are not even close. I agree that some Gameloft games are up top for about a week because they are extremely good. but if you look at the current trend, games that are at the top of the charts are priced cheaply as apposed to a couple years back to when games released at prices such as 6.99 would be at the top . Games like Shadowgun, Dead space, Rage, Cod zombies..... Currently those days are gone due to generally cheap iOS gamers.
I do feel bad that Gameloft does have to sell awesome games like Modern combat 3 for a buck. They really shouldn't have to.
Can't come soon enough for me. Going to be a big squee if it's this or next week. High on my list of things for campaign (i'm too rubbish at online play) is more weather effects. I hope for some snow, rain, fog? Anyone know if it's likely? I loves some pretty graphics.
The date is mislabeled, it's from today! If you open the article, there's a video at the bottom of the article.
So it's true that the last day of motion capture took place a few days ago, meaning that the game still has months until it is released? Also when is the multiplayer Dev diary, it has been a week since the last one was released.
No, the mocap session wasn't recent. When I visited the studios, it was deathly hot outside. And were in Montreal, so it's DEFINITELY not deathly hot right now.
Is it likely to come out November? If you can't say can you say when the multiplayer dev diary will be released?
