I just Want a shooter with decent gameplay, MC3 Was so boring, I played through only Once. N.O.V.A. 3 Was somewhat of a step up Gameplay Wise, But not by much. Until the gameplay is actually enjoyable, I'll pass, Even if the graphics are superb. Speaking of graphics, I was solely disappointed in Wild Blood, I guess Gameloft Can't make a good looking game.
I think mc3 was quite a bit better than nova 3, I loved mc3 and cant believe some of you were disappointed by it! It's an iOS game for gods sake! Nova 3 however had pretty rubbish multiplayer maps, the campaign wasn't as good as mc3, and there weren't Killstreaks or customisable weapons. It was great and all and well worth only £5 but lacking something that's quite difficult to put your finger on.
"Tonight 6:30/5:30c on #xplay: an EXCLUSIVE look at the next installment in @gameloft's hit mobile shooter series Modern Combat!" via twitter too bad i dont have cable
If Gameloft can't make a good looking game then I guess BF3 looks like crap too. My problem with Gameloft is that they ONLY know how to make good looking games, not good looking and fun.
Campaign not as good as mc3's? Excuse me? Nova 3 had actual AI, and a decent one at that. They followed you around the level, taking cover and trying to flank you. Mc3's was unbelievably shitty, purely scripted robots. They spawned in the exact same place and went to the exact same spot and never moved. If you have a problem with nova 3 not being killstreak oriented or not having attachments and a ton of equipment, you're playing the wrong genre. It isn't supposed to be a copy of CoD, it's supposed to be a juxtaposition of Halo and Crysis.
There weren't any overpowered killstreaks in mc3, and I thought the currency was quite unobtrusive. The spawn points left something to be desired but weren't as bad as MC2's. Edit: I wish the app allowed you to multi quote so I wouldn't have to post 3 times.
I think the campaign in mc3 had a better story and was more enjoyable, the levels were more fun to play. I don't want it to be a copy of cod but attachments are surely quite an obvious thing to put in an FPS. Killstreaks, well they weren't my main concern. I just found mc3 to be more playable than nova 3, and the multiplayer was better in my opinion. Mainly because the maps were really bad in nova 3, and maps like Badlands were FAR too big for the number of players, you'd go 2 or 3 minutes without finding anyone sometimes haha. Very creative maps in mc3 if you ask me, nova 3 maps were not so creative, generally all made of one colour.
If anybody can, please record this and post it on YouTube so the resto f us that we're unable to watch it can see it.
Guys, I'm not saying that MC3 was bad, it just didn't live up to my expectations. NOVA 2 had a fun campaign (all the way up until the last level) and great multiplayer. Sometimes less means more. NOVA 2 multiplayer wasn't packed with a bunch of stuff like MC3, it was the sheer fun-factor that kept bringing me back. I'm sure some of you feel the same way about Halo. *sigh* I wish I had enough memory to redownload NOVA 2.
Lol wut? The helicopter takes a good 5-8 seconds of exposure to kill you, that's without armor. You can always shoot it down. The air strike rarely ever hits anyone and the turret is just a stationary helicopter that can be be destroyed in a few hits. Yeah there are a bunch of flaws in mc3 but certainly not OP killstreaks. I don't like buyable killstreaks for sure, but also hacking and OP guns need fixing.
The helicopter is easily counteracted by using camo elite or just staying inside, the sentry gun will explode after you shoot it for a quarter of a second, and the air strike just plain sucks.
None of them were overpowered. The problem with them was hackers spam calling them in. Or the turret glitches that showed up in one of the updates that it shot through walls or up to different levels on the map. Which was eventually fixed.
If I am able to, I will capture the video using display recorder and upload it to my YouTube account.
