Well, given how decent the Anit-hacker in N3 was, and given how much more effort is going into this game than N3, I'd say the hacker prevention should be darn solid.
I'm really impressed with what I saw. I think the guy in the video summed it up when he said phones are getting closer and closer to the consoles. "In so many words"
The game needs to do what Call of Duty: Black Ops did, in that your gun can jam if it fires too fast. Even better, have it jam if it doesn't reload after expending a magazine! Have your legs jam if you run too fast! Have the game jam if you jam too fast! HAVE THE JAM JAM IF THE JAM JAMS TOO MUCH JAM. JAM.
Didn't stop the onslaught of CoD hackers though, cuz Activision doesn't give a darn. Lot of good a little bit of jamming did.. That's just not enough
I dunno why, but I just live with hackers and make it my personal goal to A. If they are on my team and using rapid fire grenade launcher, stand in front of them as they fire so they kill themselves. Or B. if they are on the other team, spend the entire match hunting them with me intervention and me KSG. I do love me a bit of Keltec Shot Gun. I can't remember the names gameloft gave them to skirt around copyright/ trademark laws. Looks like they'll be doing the same thing with mc4, I mean really, the rosarms 780, or r780, is about as close as you can get to the Remington 870, or r870.
I feel the same about Hackers. They suck, plain and simple. Speeding around with their endless ammo, one shot kill and heavy armour hacks. Nothing more satisfying then hunting them down and giving them the ole " Teabag" I've said it many times. Hackers don't have any skill when it comes to gaming but feel a sick satisfaction in cheating to win. Too bad for them.
The dev diary was hilarious. They talk like they're so amazing and full of originality, like their games are such a big deal in the industry. The gameplay looks amazing, but the commentary part was just funny. It feels like they copy and paste COD but also take and sometimes make the faults larger. They should learn from COD's mistakes over the years, not amplify them. For example why is the reduced headshot damage still in? Why can't I be awarded for good aiming? Why are perks giving obvious advantages to high level players?
They may not be changing the genre as a whole, but every game GameLoft has released has shown just what the iPhone is capable of.
