When I opened Firefox it usually opens up all the tabs that were open the last time I used it, but somehow the MC4 tab showed the last page and things got a bit confusing, because I thought I was seeing posts from this morning and they were on the latest page.
This will be the ultimate fps mobile game. If your not playing Battlefield 3, than this will be the game !! Time for me to update my device. btw, have they listed the devices that this game will be compatible with?
Haven't had a chance to see the video yet (at work). From what everyone describes, it sounds really amazing! I never played MC3 since I only had an iPod Touch 4G and between load times and inconsistent framerates, I just stopped playing. I picked it up again now that I have my 5G and wow, what a game! Extremely stable framerates and great graphics. NOVA 3 was the same way. I'm hoping with MC4 that the new 5G can handle it well.
Yeah I reinstalled that on ip5 and its super smooth on it. I think I'm going blind though because I'm used to it on an iPad. NOVA 3 is also very smooth on it which only bodes well for mc4.
NOVA 3 was terrible on iPod.. SIGHHHHHHHHHFJFIEOVUSLWPDUURIEOCISHISKCIDOFIEOGUDIRI####MEFOSUEOFOFKSKEIFICIDKFLFOCIHFIFOCOSKDKFKFKDAMNITNDJSOFOCGO
Mc4 should be pretty smooth on a5 devices and up, I think we have nothing to worry about. Es did say she was playing it on a "lower end" device (iPod or iPhone 4, I'm guessing) and it was surprisingly smooth. So...I'm hoping all our concerns have zero basis in reality. Hoping.
I'm hoping it will run on the ipod 4G, but I do have access to an iphone 4S, sometimes... but until I get a new device, the 4G for my primary device will have to do.... People with the A5 or A6 chip will definately have a big advantage in MP. On another note. I hope the campaign is good. I enjoy playing the modern combat series campaign mode.
A6 is a marginal upgrade in gaming capability, just as the a5x was. You will probably have roughly the same framerate we, maybe an effect or two removed.
I'm sorry but you can't seriously consider that a marginal update? With those kind of differences in frame rate direct from a developer? In reply to one of your own posts, so you already have this info. Mc4 will definitely run substantially smoother on ip5. Those numbers simply don't equate to a 'marginal' update. A5x and a6 will definitely have a smoother multiplayer experience. The higher ram alone will be an advantage online over other devices.
I regret to consider my iPad a marginal update. I really can't speak for the i5, but I know gpu performance is identical. And when I play Nova 3 in iPad 2 mode (so no massive resolution to hold the chip back, same performance as i5), my framerate is no smooth 60 fps. It's consistent (45 maybe) but not 60. And I also know that A5 devices run the game smoothly (right?) When you factor in extra effects for those chips, the added resolution for the i5 and massive increase in res for the iPad 3 and Gameloft's optimization skills (I need only point to Wild Blood) I believe that performance will probably be roughly the same. Ok it won't be identical, I'll grant you that, but there won't be some "massive" advantage a6 or a5x users will have like a5 users had over a4 users in mc3. That's my point, and only that. Plus you're 'not being fair'. We all know Tato and his team are optimization wizards who have been working on that game for years with their own HEAVILY modified version of unity. The shadow effects are entirely their own addition to the engine, so of course they know it in and out and will squeeze every bit of performance out of it. I suspect they haven't really gotten to the optimization stage with the 4s. Doubtful that that's the actual framerate for the final build; I saw the game running on an iPad 2 at at least 45 fps.
I hope MC4's performance will be better than Nova 3's. Too much framerate issues and lag with my iPhone 4S.
