Thread thread has pretty much gone dead, as slot of major players, (including myself) don't post as much as we used to. However, in the from of a bump, I would like to point out an observation I made. When waiting the COD Ghosts multiplyer reveal yesterday, I noticed that some new elements of Ghosts seemed to be from the modern combat series. For example, equipment isn't based on rank anymore, but rather the amount of unlock points (Modern Combat 4), when you run over objects you will automatically vault over them, leading to more fluid movement (MC4), and now there is a new mechanic that allows you to go from sprinting to slidng and then to crouching. (MC3/4). Also, this is entirely subjective, however I personally thought the graphics looked more in the style of MC4 graphics than the graphics of MW3. Did anybody make similar observations?
Not really. MC4 is a little bit broken. The scenario of rip saying camping with the one shot sniper is kinda coming... I got pwned by a friend of mine who just camped at alert.
I wouldn't quite say broken but a lot of what I feared would happen with the tweaks people were looking for did come to fruition. Sometimes you just got to be careful what you ask for. The sniper element is still the one that annoys me the most but I've managed. Snipers are quite easy to blindside when they spend all their time looking down a scope. Alert is one map that I tend to avoid a lot now. In saying that, I love the new maps anyway and there is still plenty where sniping isn't a valid tactic.
^Yeah for some reason Gameloft hasn't followed up on MC5. They released a teaser trailer a couple months ago and they haven't done anything since. I agree with you though. I want to be the top prestige but unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a full lobby of people to play with.
But there wasn't meant to be any follow up on MC5, its still on for fall release which is still between 22nd September and 20th December. There was never going to be follow up yet. The teaser trailer was just that and the season of launch was very clear. You're looking at November most likely. If any mistake was made, it was releasing a teaser trailer way too early. But there was never any indication that there would be any more until Fall.
Well at least this will give me a chance to finish MC4. I haven't even started it. But surely I want MC5 as well. Recently Gameloft is releasing many of there famous titles at a cheap price. MC4 was a buck in the start as well. And it's a steal at that price. I also want to see NOVA sequel too. I enjoyed the last one!
