Try playing this on an ipad 4 and then get back to us. The latest update has crippled the frame rate on the newest ipad, and even gameleft admitted they screwed up. It's laughable they then go promoting the game at 99 cents.
That's...quite strange. Definitely not something I've heard of; try reinstalling/rebooting, then contact customer support (don't know how helpful that'll be though). Read the entire conversation line including what I responded to: a guy was complaining not about retina on an iPad 4 but about the lack thereof on an iPad 3. And for the record, he owns an iPad 4. He feels your pain (if you aren't from the US I'm afraid the humor might mean nothing to you though). Speaking of iPad 4 retina issues, I fired up the game for the first time in a few weeks yesterday and random played a dog days match. Not too shabby, certainly playable. Very much so. Just that occasional skip that is incredibly irritating. Retina looks very pleasing to the eye, however.
I have it on an iPad 4. And an iPhone 5. And an iPad 2. And an iPhone 4S. Top 100 on the leaderboard still despite not playing a lot recently. Peaked at 25 on the leaderboard before the update. Also was top 5 on MC3 and stayed top ten for a long time. And reached quite high on MC2 also. And played a lot of MC1. Have plenty of reference points when it comes to the MC series. I'm perfectly aware of the framerate issues on the iPad 4. However my response was not to the current framerate issues on that particular device that you refer to, it was in context of graphics not framerate. There's little about this particular game that I need to know that I don't already know. In relation to the update, I'm very sure they are fixing it and that a further update will sort it out. I can't comment as to where the problem is but its not as simple as rewriting a line or two of code. And there there's the resubmission process after further testing and approval internally. So it is something that takes time to actually fix. And in relation to promoting it even with the current framerate issue on iPad 4, well the iPad 4 is probably the device that makes up the smallest number of the player base, there is a lot more iPhones, iPod touches, iPad 2's out there who can still play the game with no problem at all. I'm sure the promotion was planned well in advance. And I'm sure non iPad 4 users are quite happy that the game is under promotional sale right now and even iPad 4 users can still get it under sale and play again when the issue is fixed. For many I'm sure that's preferable to no sale at all because of an issue with the minority device on iOS that will get fixed.
It seems like it runs around 30 Fps rather than 45-60 fps of the previous title. Still very much playable, intense multiplayer battles with a lot of explosives has slowed the framerate on my 4S a bit but not too bad.
Is it me or does the sensitivity option not work for control option 3 virtual sticks? The sensitivity appears to be the same regardless if I set it to fast or slow.
Played 3 online matches and got no xp! No coins nothing. I had most kills and flag steals all three battles and still stuck at level 8. How is this possible?

Could someone give me a Charbtek and or Compakt loadout? I use stealth Could someone give me a good loadout for the Charbtek and or the Conpakt? I like stealth, and want to make a goo loadout for those guns. I need high(er) handling and damage.
Well my iPad screen cracked so now it looks like I will be playing very little of Modern Combat 4 even once the update gets released. Hopefully in the next year or so I will have the money to get a new one or repair it, and hopefully I will be back for MC5.
