Minecraft pocket released an update for many bugfixes 3 days after a big update, they don't have alot of people either. Maybe you cant compare the two, but whats frustrating is the lack of info gameloft has released on this matter. The only bit of info was CM's tweet "Lagging on the iPad 4: will be fixed. Retina was accidentally toggled on."
That doesn't sound like it would take this long to fix. If its a bigger problem then just say so :|

I dont mean to argue with anyone, hopefully they really are working hard to fix this and not on spring break vacation.

 

What if the problem was about MC4 greatest secrets? Would you tell the world about it?

@arc sweet, won't get this retina problem then. No one hit kills (shotguns and sniper exclusive) and the one powerful gun is because of fire rate, and not bad damage with good accuracy. A bit of recoil. Overall really balanced, go do yourself a favor.

I still think its gonna be a while. The fact that we are getting zero comment lately from them other than "whoopsie" is not very promising. Probably just going to delete it until its fixed. Plus modern combat 5 is supposedly set for a Q3 2013 release so they will be devoting resources to that. I at least hope someone over there got yelled at for screwing over the thousands and thousands of iPad users that play.

I have asked ####### for updates on this forum and the MC4 site discussion. No response, nothing at all. No ETA or work on if its coming soon. If its going to weeks and weeks down the road, Im out for now.

 

C'mon. Don't be that rude. I know you're angry and such, but how do you know they will put mc4 aside and put MC5 in?

 

Well, hopefully they will have the update for the ipad 4 retina and Gameloft duo gamer joystick at the samw time, so we can all play together and have a great time. Been only able to play about 30 minutes so far, actually rumours of an ipad 5 are starting to resurface again for an april or early summer launch, so maybe I'll just wait and play it on an ipad 5, we shall see what happens in the future. I gotta hook up my modded xbox again and play some Halo and Mame. Also, my icade core is keeping me busy. Curious too about the new rumours about an early ipad 5 release. All exciting things. Can't wait to get an ipad with at least 128 gb of disk space. Actually I think I need 256 gb. Starting to download a lot of videos from the internet, need some space too for movies for hdmi tv.

Man, my ipad 3 is one years old, wowzers.

 

I'm not saying its going to be put aside. But I'm sure a lot of resources are being allocated. The fact that they are not updating us or fixing this after a week seems odd. The tweet that went out was seriously a whoopsie tweet saying it got turned on by mistake. Don't make the problem sound that simple if the fix isn't that simple!

I went 16-4, then a noob with a shotgun came in.

I really don't think this is a simple toggle switch problem.

I think Gameloft tried to do a retina version for the ipad 4, and now will be making the tough decision to spend further resources to optimize it to work well, or go back to the ipad 3 version.

So I personally think this is a very complex problem.

 

Their official digital spokesperson tweeted it was a mistake. If what you say is indeed the case then the whole team deserves to be severely reprimanded or fired. You don't push out an update to a game that severely cripples the frame rate and therefore playability without first doing lots of testing. Saying "wellllll we tried and it didnt work so well" is a horrible excuse. C'mon.

 

GL montreal is one of the worst places to work in, just to let you know. (Read that from somewhere)

Oh I'm still here. But my friend borrowed Black Ops to me and it's free gold weekend so I can play multiplayer and I'll focus on that instead of MC4 for this weekend. Then I gotta get that gold for 3 months until my birthday. Anyway, main point, I am here but I'll be less active this weekend.

 

I thought that was GL New Zealand. Auckland or something.

 

And...who said what exactly? You can't just make a statement like that and substantiate with just "I read it somewhere".
