I've seen the same with the autoshotty. One hit kill, and when I look at his scores, he has no headshots in that game. It's odd, but doesn't happen so often.

It's a one shot kill head shot and a two body shot kill (if you hit em right). But if you've just leapt off somewhere or over something with a heavy weapon, there's a slight stun effect so if they have jhp equipped, its a one shot body. Obviously that also applies if you're just outside grenade radius or got clipped very close to them hitting you. It's rare though and needs very good timing. They also would need to be pretty close to you because any change in range has quite an effect with it. I'm currently trying to 1000 kill with it so trying out the different rounds and fmj and jhp do have an effect. It's most effective on the close quarters maps though.

Ha, sniping, I totally suck at it. I've essentially given up getting 1000 kill achievement with those weapons. Simply can't get the hang of it for a full match. Occasionally use it to take out other snipers but grenade launcher is effective enough for that. Plus it seems to tick them off and they have to change tactic, which suits me better for killing them. If only I could master quick scoping. I can do it but just can't play a full match with it. I'm just not quick enough.
Okay, maybe it's just me, but WTF Gameloft? Now in VIP instead of 300 XP for killing the VIP you only get 100. Did this just happen?
is there any perk for multiplayer like Last stand in cod? i saw it in single player AI when i take enemies down...
Best you could do is plop down a mine exactly after you die, not very practical. In other words, no. Snipers. They really need to put a proper ACOG scope in.
In-game update about two weeks ago changed that. I don't know, I seem to do pretty well with a sniper. Sure as hell better than in MC3. 250 kills so far, but if customs counted, I'd already have 1000. Beat Ajay in a sniper 1v1 when he used an ipod(said sniping was easier with it) and he's co-leader of a sniper/YouTube clan, so that's gotta say at least something
Only 1 more presitge to go. Personally, I think sniping has gotten harder throguh each Modern Combat. MC2 has the easiest, and I think MC3 was easier than in Modern Combat 4.
Well maybe I just wasn't good at sniping at the time of mc3. Either way I'm doing better in mc4 than mc3. Mc2 would be easiest, but there's no sprint button to cancel animation.
The drop compensator somewhat fills that niche, but snipers are still clunky and awkward for me to use... The wierd thing is, I can pick one up and just go on a rampage with it. I wonder if my attachments are bad...
Drop compensator sucks. Hard. Really bad. Sorry, but it just is. Yeah. Sniping really needs accuracy.
I tend to do well with it. (better than the thermal I started out with when it was on sale) I like to added peripheral vision it gives and lack of "tunnel-vision". But I'm weird and can't get a kill with it to (literally) save my life. It's just fun for some reason.
