Meh. Believe me, I've tried. But I just can't play without a surpressor. Once you've played as long as I have without a surpressor, you'll find it extremely hard to go back. I lowered my kdr by like 0.6 when I went on without a silencer.
Whew! Just had two way intense free for all battles, 15-1 both times. Right now I'm just focused on completing challenges, which is nice as it allows me to try out attachments I haven't used.
Just got a quad on blockbuster with ufia. Wish it was a true quad and not a triple like the kill feed said. Gameloft needs to make quad feeds. On a up note, I got the jaragon perk which makes my iron sight faster. Feels so much better. I can actually kill in a gun fight now, instead of spraying with hip fire and missing.
Yeah got a quad on blockbuster too. Well done Quads are pretty hard in this game I think. But blockbuster has narrow hallways so quads are easier there. and all the traffic is centered in the center. Man that map is so well done Paragon striker is really good, agreed! Combine that with integrates radar, wowowow!!
As nobody seems to have read or understood what I was saying, I'll try a different way. The sniper rifle with the right attachments is a one shot kill if you aim correctly and at long distance. From the stairs in alert to virtually any exposed point at the other side, if you get an accurate shot in against a stationary object or an object moving in a straight line, one shot will do it. It absolutely requires the right scope, not the cts or the drop compensator as they reduce accuracy and hitting an arm won't necessarily kill will it. I have both done this and had it done to me many times.. And despite the fact that all spawn do have cover, the minute you get out of cover at either end, you are easily exposed to a sniper shot. As for medium range, sniper is a guaranteed one shot kill. But hitting a leg or arm with the wrong sight attached wont do it. As with any game I've played, head or proper centre mass is required to do it and any sight that reduces accuracy but increase range doesn't help you get a head shot. And I'm pretty sure a headshot is the ultimate point of sniping anyway in any game. However, back to what I first said, if the damage and accuracy of the sniper weapons is increased beyond what they are now, what exactly would be the point of using any other weapon or close range? You'd simply end up getting shot every time you moved out of cover. And saying a rifleman can easily get a sniper means he has to get close enough but then he is just in range of your grenades, a mine placed behind you, some c4, a decent team mate to cover you, your turret (that you will get) and your Jolt. The limitations on the sniper rifles at the moment means everybody isn't using them all the time. Change that and then why wouldn't you. Alert at least would simple be sniper alley basically and utterly pointless to play on.
Also, isn't it quite funny how everybody was unhappy and aggrevated with the headshot hackers and one shot kill hackers but now some want a sniper rifle that does exactly the same thing from maximum range.
Cause snipers are powerful weapons. They should kill with oneshot if its a bolt action... Sniper is hard enough to aim and shoot with so it wouldn't get crowded with snipers. MC2 sniping is easy as hell and still not everybody snipes. Actually there's not that many snipers.
Don't call me stupid, but the sniper aspect of the game seems just rite. I'm in full agreement with Rip. Sniping isn't an easy task in the real world and nor shld it b easy in the game. It shld require the alignment of all the correct circumstances to pull off the shot.
I'm actually starting to not rage as much. Getting killed in this game makes me angry whereas in mc2 I could care less just so long as I don't get knifed. Yeah I got a lucky quad, it will likely not happen again. Blockbuster, legion are my knifing maps and congress. I can't wait to get increased movement and paragon senses. Staying at rank 50 to go for those perks.
OMG!!! I couldn't agree more! We are like soulmates you and me! And ddyracer yeah, I still rage a lot...
Yes, sniper weapons are powerful but as anyone else who has ever fired one over large distances will tell you, there's a bit more to it than simply having the most powerful one and getting a line of sight. A one shot kill, whether its bolt action, magazine fed, self loading or semi automatic weapon still requires you to hit the right part of the body. And that can be done easily in this, which I already said. If you're not getting the kills, you're not aiming. Quickscoping doesn't work in real life either. You actually have to aim. Moving targets are also more difficult to hit in the right place as well. There is simply a lot more to hitting a target correctly than simply having the most powerful gun and having a target in cross hairs. Living targets tend to move. Long range is affected by numerous factors (down to even the curvature of the planet). Mc2 is unbalanced in other ways also (golden ak) and going to that system would be a step backwards.
I'm gonna start from the bottom of your post. Yes, MC2 was unbalanced due to golden ak. But I don't think sniper really unbalanced it. You were still very vulnerable when you got out of scope cause it took so much time. Of course it requires to hit a certain part of body to be oneshot. I always kill with oneshot when I aim correctly, no matter on distance. Actually... Why am I even discussing about this since it's oneshot to me? :S I'm happy wit the sniping in this game
Pshh. If we want to start getting realistic with actual ballistics it'll just lead to sorrow for the game. We all know that a realistic game isn't fun (Arma 2). I don't want to have to aim above and ahead of a moving target; save that for BF3. Besides, the maps that MC4 has aren't big enough for gravity to take much to any effect. That said, with a modern sniper rifle a shot that is delivered anywhere to the torso will result in death. The ft-lbs of energy delivered by a a bullet 1/3 to 1/2 an inch in diameter and weighing thousands of grains results in a massive amount of shock that will kill just as easily as a double lung shot will kill a deer when hunting. Likewise, any shot to the limb would completely incapacitate an individual due to loss of blood and likely dismemberment depending on if the bullet actually hit the bone close to a joint. Unless medical services are available immediately, the person is going to die. Any way you look at it, in real life being hit with a sniper rifle is serious business. But real life is irrelevant. This is a video game. I still stand by my statement that there's little point to a video game's bolt-action snipers if the gun cannot kill in one shot. It just isn't fun or that fair. If you dislike snipers here's a pro tip: butterfly and sprint. He'll never hit you. Interesting how, once snipers were rebalanced in MC3 to be a one shot kill above waist regardless of armor, they went from you seeing one maybe every 20 matches to every three matches depending othe map, and they didn't become OP by any means.
Down for me too. Not sure when it went down but I noticed it when i tried to get in like 2 hours ago.
Okay. Well then head on over to shadowgun deadzone, equip any of the snipers on any zone control match, get up on one of the walls and then come back and tell me that's what this game needs. Next thing, people will want the RPGs to be more accurate or faster travelling and reload or more damage. I'm out of this particular discussion now because if all the changes people seem to want that I've read were actually implemented, I could just imagine then what'd be asked for. Nerf jolt, nerf charbtek, knife overpowered, sniper underpowered. Etc, etc. equals wholly unbalanced game.
