I still haven't played 3, are instalments related or are they pretty much standalone as far as campaign goes?
There are some characters that can be in two games but the story is pretty bland and easy to follow. You won't miss much.
LOL... "Lock in the license" as Nightc (it was him right?) puts it. Basically, you place your purchase, then cancel and delete the download. The appstore will remember that you have bought it already (even at a sale price) and you can download it for free later on. Someone in the thread just shortened it to "lockedz" and i thought it was funny that some of the forum regulars are actually using it already. Or, you can just download it on a computer to be transferred to your iThing later on. Either way, you should be able to buy it at a buck, and make use of the purchase once you are able to free some space up (maybe finish a story-driven game which dont have much replay value, which fortunately most big-filesized apps are).
Story is a big factor for me, though it does get over ruled by gameplay (hence the reason I'm still playing RR3)....multiplayer does sound like it's worth 99c, but just tell me... Are there whinny little brats of kids on the online servers which constantly complain on voice chat when they are killed? I don't think I can handle that
Best multiplayer experience on te iOS platform. Although you might want to wait before jumping into an online game if you have an iPad 4.
