Doesn't deadlock have lobbies? The game has the lobbies in it not the system. Like on Xbox COD hosts the lobbies, not the Xbox itself. What the Xbox has is party, but that is a bit different than a lobby for multiplayer.
lol of coarsr it will be for ipt 4g lol, gameloft said on their youtube it would work for ipt 3g 32 gig
The game will most likely run on 3rd gen (8GB third gen iPod is actually a 2nd gen) and up. The game will most likely include optimizations for A5 devices, as some Gameloft games have had iPad 2 optimizations.
Gameloft will probably just use Gameloft Live again, and I really hope they do. Gameloft Live has amazing lobbies. For a good example of Gamecenter ruining what could be an awesome online multiplayer experience, take a look at Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing...
I understand the concern, but Deadlock has lobbies and I haven't really heard anyone complaining about it. Also look at my Xbox analogy/reference.
It comes out 2 days later in the USA. Plus there are plenty of people that don't have console systems, but have an iDevice. Ther are also people, like myself, who switched over from console to iOS. I don't have the sit down time like I used to, but I can take my iPod anywhere. In a class of 300, I can play any iOS game I want to. Also you can't compare console games to mobile games. There really are a bunch of factors that I don't want to get into, but if I must explain I will. Gameloft doesn't have to worry about this game being popular. What they should worry about, and probably are, is piracy.
I know they're not handled by Game Center, but GC handles/ has access to leaderboards and achievements. That's ultimately what I'm asking for; integration.
in the appbank video on mc3, go to around 3:50 in the video and look in the top left, is that an ipod touch???
If this game will only be for the Ipad 1&2 and iPhone4&4s I will cry!!! It can't be that this awesome game won't be compatible with the iPt4 or can it? Does someone know ?
To make it clear: here's the list of supported devices: - iPad 1 & 2 - iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S - iPod Touch 3 (32/64 GB), iPod Touch 4 How do I know? Because gameloft said it would support the iPod Touch 3 (not 8GB, of course), so all iDevices that are faster than it are supported too.
Battlefield will be available Tuesday in the US. All AppStore titles slated for a Thursday release, arrive in the US AppStore on Wedsnesdays. If you love on the west coast, 8pm next Wedsnesday (the day after Battlefield 3).
I hope that Gameloft prevents piracy and hacking on Mc3, because the quality of this game looks phenomenal. Just like a console game. They deserve to make a ton of money off this, for bringing this type of game to iOS.
