Ofcoarse its for iphone, a guy On the video comment section said will it work for iphone fOur and @gameloft said yes
That is verry unlikely: 1. The quality isn't close to good enough to be just a picture. 2. WHY WOULD THEY HAVE SOMEBODY RELOADING A GUN IN THE PICTURE IF IT WAS A BACKGROUND?! (Are you a fan of INTENSE RELOADING ACTION? ) but seriously, I'm quite sure this is an iPad 2 screenshot (scaled down abit). The aspect ration is right. 1024 x 768 is 4:3, and 960 x 720 is too. If you think these graphics are way too good to be possilbe, then obviously games like infinity blade don't exist in your world.
I agree. I did a search in google images and found the original screenshot, in full 1024 x 768 resolution. The same image that was previously posted had been trimmed down slightly. I also found another screenshot, again in 1024 x 768 resolution. Which means it's an iPad screenshot, most likely an iPad 2 screenshot. I highly doubt the original iPad could run the game with graphics as good as this, it is after all less powerful than the iPhone 4. And I don't think the iPhone 4 could run the game with graphics this good either, maybe the iPhone 5.
The thing is, Gameloft didn't send out that picture in the Press Release, so I doubt it's still of the game. It's a pretty good screenshot showing off the detail on the gun, so there's no reason why Gameloft didn't include it in the PR if it is from the game. I'd prefer to wait until we hear any official word from Gameloft.
Modern combat 3 will not be a Facebook game, the graphics is way too good for that. And why would they do that, modern combat is their most popular series, from past games I could tell this is going to be too amazing for the title of facebook game pfft. As for the picture it's for the iOS so be happy how ####ing cool it looks kk.
Infinity Blade does an excellent job of playing at PlayStation 3, but look close enough and you'll see textures and geometry getting simpler than they're made out to be. Similarly, these Modern Combat 3 screenies are riddled with inconsistencies that make me believe they've been doctored. The textures on the character's glove are incongruous with the über-polished quality of the gun he's holding. It looks like they're from two different games. That's just one example, but it's why I'm inclined to label these as bullshots. Though I do agree with you that this is likely the iPad 2 version we're seeing, albeit selectively tweaked. Not to take away from Modern Combat 3 (or Infinity Blade, for that matter), because anyone can see from the trailer it's going to be an amazing looking game either way. I only hope Gameloft has shelled out for a scenario writer this time, so all of those cool scripted events don't just feel shoehorned into the campaign. As much as I enjoyed Black Pegasus, I could never shake the feeling that I was playing through a checklist rather than a script during its campaign.
The way I know gameloft the screenshots are all probably slightly doctored, I mean, they doctored screenshots of like the asphalt games or Silent Ops... (espechially Silent Ops!)
Well I think a lot of still shots of games look better than them motion. Like this one of Modern Warfare 3 looks way better than the videos: http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/9/2011/09/mw3_mp_gignresistance.jpg
Exactly. The game looks great in all the screenshots I've seen, so we don't have to worry about it looking bad.
Graphic engines are Gameloft's strong suit, at least when it comes to mobile/iOS gaming. Its other areas of the game that would concern me. Like general funfactor, because MC2 was, in terms of singleplayer at least, pretty much the most dull/boring/lackluster game Gameloft has ever developed. Gameloft has developed plenty of games that have performed worse then MC2, but they have never created a game that was, at its core, less soulless and less enjoyable. MC1, on the other hand, was a significantly better experience. I think that was because MC1 was developed without multiplayer in mind. The MP component of MC2 took up way too much of Gameloft's time and effort and the campaign suffered as a result. It felt like a throw in. This happens a lot in the world of console gaming, to be honest, in defense of Gameloft. I hope they correct it though. I don't want another game that has exhaustive, seemingly endless segments of gameplay that involve running and gunning your way up a bunch of uninspiring corridors that all look the same. The campaign was so tedious that you were actually praying that the stupid thing would just end. Variety is the spice of life and MC2 had none. And Gameloft will often put some ridculous puzzle-boss segment at the very end of their games too; a boss fight in which the boss cannot be killed by normal means. Every enemy died by normal means all the way up to the end. MC2 was like that, and it doesn't belong. Same thing with NOVA 2. You cannot wait all the way until the end to drop something like that into a game out of thin-air; something that is totally inconsistant with the way in which the rest of the game has played up to that point.
So now it's multiplayer vs singleplayer? Ooohh that's a hard choice. I dont even know which I would prefer, a great solo campaign or an amazing multiplayer experience.
LOL 1. Picture... Multiplayer Map Modern Warfare 2 2. Picture... SP Mission Modern Warfare 1 Picture with the Bridge... Battlefield 3 they just stole everything =D
