I'm starting to hate book fads more and more. The only reason books like Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hunger Games are so popular is because the protagonists are teenager meaning the targeted readers can "relate" to them. 10 years from now, maybe a little more, people are gonna realize that the books were nothing special. Imaginative, maybe, but nothing special. Except for Twilight. People oughta figure out they're crap right off the bat.
I wouldn't consider the Hunger Games a fad. anyways.....I really like the series....have you read it? I dont recall it being "oddly" written...the beginning is a little slow though....not that it really mattered.
I cannot agree more with this. The Hunger Games is not a fad. Twilight - sure, definitely. You don't see Katniss Everdeen shirts in stores, do you? Didn't think so. Yeah, it includes some important foreshadow/story characters. It's not oddly written. Uh... 3rd book, hello..
