I saw it quite a while ago but forgot to post here. Appshopper doesnt show it going free but iTunes does. App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
For that price seems like a very good grab. I like the fact that allows the user to comment and follow, plus the twitter integration. I'm looking forward to see what Reeder has to offer, but MobileRSS looks pretty good.
