Oh, yes of course it's Patrick Steward, silly me. But wasn't this game released before? Maybe on your own? Or am I having a deja vu here?
It was! So, so different then though. Originally it was all text, no graphics, no scoring, no music, no quizzes, etc. It was on sale for about a week and I discovered what I knew already, I suck at self promotion. Not thinking it would work I contacted a handful of publishers, and struck an instant rapport with Ayopa Games who signed the game up for a re-release. Since then, I've done a lot of work and learned (and probably forgotten) a lot of things bringing back Mister Smith. Due to all the new features of the game, I had to go down the visual programming route ... I really don't know how to code I do guess pretty well though, so much so that at the end of one work day I was actually wondering what programming language I was tinkering with earlier in the day to see if I could get a plugin to work. I wish this was a joke It might have been C, I still don't know! I think the biggest adventure has been bringing the game out the way it is now PS Halle Berries is still to make an appearance, and she's completely original too
Yeah, I was sure I've read the title before. Well, you got lucky to get a publisher instantly, that is not easy today. They must have been really impressed with what they saw. As a fellow scot, you have my support anyway and I wish you all the best with your game! And of course I am interested in Halle's Berries.
Got the 40th achievement before breakfast this a.m. What a fun start to the day! Hmm, I just noticed that I only have 430 out of 440 points--I guess I'm not quite done yet! I'm thinking I need to really zip through the quizzes. Back to work!
Thanks! I sure am looking forward to seeing what you come up with for our little pals next. I'm quite fond of them already. It's very interesting to me how one can become so fond of a figment of imagination when the writing is good.
Mister Smith & His Adventures is featured in Best New Games on the App Store! Loads of territories have it there already. It doesn't seem like territories including US, Aus, NZ, etc have updated yet but hopefully they also give this great indie game some love too!
Just an update Hiya, Since another update to Mister Smith & His Adventures has hit the app store, I thought I'd update here too Recently, I've updated the interface (no more blank screens when scrolling) and there's new content too, including Patrick Steward's return in The XY-Men. Next up, I'm going to be working on The Two Showers: Part One, which is a parody of The Lord of the Rings. I hope nobody minds this post. I just want to be a developer who actively supports his game!
