Ah, he was walking around demanding his head back. I just summoned a Reyem Neas and Doomsday and took me out pretty quick. It definitely startled me a little though, I always thought that spot was safe, but I guess not
I know i am gonna get a lot of hate on the forums for this but... i think this game is over rated. I know the game is not about the graphics, but these are just downright horrible. The voice acting aint to flash either. I just dont see how it could get this much attention. Anyway, i will continue to play, and maybe my opinion will change.
The voice acting is not that bad, especially one developer with little to no help, and before you buy a game, I'm sure that you would at least look at the screenshots first, which don't even give the game justice, so I don't know why you would buy a $10 game and only then realize you don't like the graphics.....
The content amount is HUGE probably consisting of hours/days of straight gameplay. The game ENGINE was made from scratch. The graphics, sound, everything, all done by a one man developer. Could you kindly point out another game of this magnitude on the app store done by a one man developer with an 3d engine made from scratch? I think that's what all the hype is about. This was a game made by a gamer for the gamers. Like you, at first I was wondering what all the hype was about. After the opportunity to jump in and get my feet wet, I now know. The game might lack "Gameloft" polish, but has better gameplay value than over 75% of their current games (sorry Gameloft, you're just an example).
Here I have to disagree! True, the first games made by Gameloft had little gameplay value, but luckily the most recent games I've purchased from this dev house (take Starfront - Collision for example) have great gameplay value...I think Gameloft is now working for making its games playable and re-playable. Hooray for Gameloft!
When you say "overrated," I think what you mean to say is that you don't like it as much as other folks. At least I hope that's what you mean because the alternative -- that you actually mean to say that our enjoyment of this game is somehow inappropriate -- is too obnoxious for words. Obviously Ryan has made some aesthetic choices here that some folks will simply not appreciate. For many of us, the lo-fi quality of the game is part of its appeal, but it's perfectly fine for others not to like it. To complain that Mission Europa doesn't have AAA production values, however, is a bit besides the point.
When you go to the store it shows your money count in the upper corner of the buy screen. Free items are mailed out; next to the level teleporter is a mailbox. If you are connected to wifi you can walk up to the mailbox and it'll check mail to find the free items. You can send/receive items over the internet this way. Although they're not weapons, they're "skills" (magic/summons).
Just woke up whoopps...needs more sleep!.. hitting the gym then wll be at the day job.. will read/respond then! =) I am a little Groggie Groggie! -) Will be back in a few hours with responses =) I read a few and enjoy noogardlous.. it is gettin a nerf bat in update 1
It seems to be crashing on my iPhone 2G (3.1.3). Not demanding a fix for such an old device, but was wondering if one is in the works?
I think titling the starting area "safe" is misleading. Aside from the aforementioned boss spawning, during the mission to get the weapon cache on level5 I've been ambushed by hordes of lvl 7 enemies as I went to talk to the avatar (who made no mention of it). Can someone explain this to me? So, the "safe" area is sometimes not safe?
I don't get it... Why is everyone saying the graphics are horrible? Sure, they're no NOVA, but they don't look that bad. I love all of the color Ryan used and there's some cool designs.
PLEASE DON"Y NERF IT! *crys* I love that skill! And to the other people who will read thhis! Good new: I'm sick! more mission Europa! Bad New: I'll probably be on the toliet half the day lol
