Does anyone know if there is someway to survive the Death Kite on Floor 8 at a relatively early character, and now the Murderer on Floor 21? I am level 24, and it is a one hit kill.. Is that supposed to be happening? The same thing happened with the Death Kite on Floor 8 and level 12 or 13 - again one hit one kill... Answer may be contained earlier, but 400 pages is a lot to wade through... Thanks.
Go to the store and upgrade your armor. If the store doesn't show better armor, back away and approach the store again. Keep doing that until *all* your armor matches your level. You can also look for a weapon that you can shoot from a distance, even if you're a melee fighter. Finally, you can sneak up on the Death Kite, drop a Doomsday before it notices you, and then run away like a little girl. That's my "go-to" strategy .
I think I am about done with ME, not content-wise, but play-wise. Really great game overall and the 20ish hours I put in were overall fun, but I have too many other games to play. I think that the bugs killed the game for a lot of people; honestly a game should not crash as often as ME would sometimes crash, even with the newest patch. The graphics didn't bother me, but I know some people were put off by the style. There were a lot of aspects that didn't really make sense to new players too I think, such as what the stats really did when gaining levels and what the weapon/armor meant. I think if people didn't grow up playing PC games like this it may have been a hard transition (or sell) for them as well.
I 'tried' to get back into ME today, but Spoiler I just couldn't any further commitment to it. Spoiler It's not the graphics (I don't dislike it), the sound/music is good, gameplay is engaging but the controls & overall game balances started to glare in my face (after playing other high polish games). Farewell! My virtual in-game insensible character who gets instantly overkilled 151 times after being headshotted by defense bot beam 3 times in a row.
I agree, this game needs some balance tweaking (death kites and murderers most urgently) but other than that, its a lot of fun. I played a couple of nights ago, and its my opinion if that this game were to be updated with more balance fixes (make it easier if in doubt) then I'd be returning for several more hours! (already on 18)
I think balance issues ruin the game more IMO. Bugs are second priority if the game is starting to become low on players.
Well, I can see that, but when the game crashes and you forgot to save recently it can be pretty frustrating. I now save about every 10 minutes, but there was at least one time I did lose some progress. Personally I haven't had too many balance issues as I snipe everything from far away except bosses since they move so fast. It takes me a long time to get through the levels, but it has also made the game less frustrating.
I think the game autosaves stuff you do except level progression - that's gotta be done manually. I was the victim of a crash that lost me a nice item so I know how it is, tho =.=
Well my iPod touch just messed up I tried everything last resort was to restore so I lost all my stuff for some reason my backup file didn't work to same problem so I'm wondering is there anyway to retrieve my saved file???
I think that is a no unfortunately, from what I understand is that iTunes "backup" is not much of a backup. Pretty big oversight IMO. Ryan talked about a cloud save, but I hink he moved on to a new project too quickly before getting this one in a better state.
well if thats the case that sucks lost my registered name and all the gifts including doomsday second time to
I didn't. My wife snagged a screenshot of my home screen, had it printed on rice paper, then had a bakery make the cake. (Poppy seed with lemon filling, base and outer layer/details are pieces of colored fondant.)
Really nice, Ryan should send you some birthday freebies!! Your wife is quite inventive too! Oh, importantly, how was the cake and birthday?
