Is the update 2 gonna fix the damage rates? Right now I'm stuck on level 9 because the dead marines can 4-shot kill me. Seriously I can take like 10x more hits from a level 21 ghost (I'm level 12 for christsakes!)

For anyone who passed level 9 (apparently everyone but me :() got any tips on beating the marines? Do I add points to the stats or something?

    Hitcher :D

Or just shop around for better armor. The ones in store are pretty good. And strafe against the boss a lot. If all else fails, melee it (seriously, I bashed it 3 times using melee while taking minimal damage).

  6. I just ran through the mobs yelling "I'm makin' it rain, beotches!" with the electric rain rifle and then finished off the boss with the hitcher.

I play tested level 9 extensively.. range there.. keep range.. #1 rule in M.E. make sure your equipment is as top notch as possible it is 90% of your power. ;) A shield is a HUGE part of your armor..HUGE...you can even use 2... and use skills in a pinch...

Free version is out!.. let the people that are wondering know -)..

O and please have them leave a review.. it will be loaded with people that are looking for a short shooter game with a linear path in equipment usually... so we will need the action/rpg lovers ;)

this i would love it if you could make some more skills that recharge in a second because then you could have like a 'mage' class i dont play any rpgs other than ones on my iphone but i know that if you could have a few more instant recharge one other than energy bolt (the only one i currently have i know there's probably a few more) then that would be awesome

Yeah everyone says that level 9 is hard and it sorta is. I died a couple times, but a if level 12 you should have no problem. Here are some tips if you're having trouble:

    1. Like Ryan said, make sure all of your equipment is up to date. Not just armor, but weapons too. If you're equipment is a couple levels lower than your level you should upgrade. Keep going to the store to get new armors. The weapons there are pretty expensive, so i suggest going the level 10 if you have the collector's edition and kill all the replicants and bots on the level. They can't hurt you and still drop exp and loot so you may be able to get something from them.

    2. Don't use the Dual Wield Skill. As awesome and badass as it is to go in waving around 2 guns, you really only need one gun at a time and a shield provides a massive armor plus. Besides, wielding two guns greatly decreases your accuracy and you can always easily switch guns mid-fight. That's what the spaces on the left are for.

    3. Ryan also said this, but you should listen to him since he did create the game!::D You should look at your play style because you may need to change it. ME has a steep difficulty curve, so while you may have been able to get level 1-8 by just charging in and spraying around, that won't work in level 9 and further levels. It all lies in the sniping. Get a good hitcher for sniping mobs (though this is greatly helpful and make the level much easier you don't really need it though i highly recommend it). Then get a .223 rifle (don't get a .304 or higher caliber rifle as they have a really slow fire rate) for sniping when there are only a few enemies. You can also use it for close combat when you goto clean up any wranglers left from a mob after the hitcher. Keeping your distance is key and will keep a you from getting damage.

    Hope this helps!

(P.S. I have some rifles that are around your level i think so tell me if you need and you'll get them!)

Um, the first 10 levels alone took me about 15 hours to beat. There is a LOT of replay value for $10.

Since you just bought the game lemme formally welcome you to the community of the Mission Europa thread!!!! Let me first congratulate you on your fine purchase. Did you get the collector's edition or regular? If you need any tips you can just post here and people are sure to help. Also, once you level up, you can probably start using the stuff that people are giving away. So now that you have the game, here are some tips:

    1. SouL_dragooN is Ryan, the one man team behind ME and is a wonderful developer. He posts here often and answers the questions that people. He reads every post so if you have any questions or problems, post here and either Ryan, or another player will help you.

    2. Make sure that you watch the tutorial video on the ME website as it teaches you many things that you will need to know, since the game is somewhat lacking in an in-game tutorial.

    3. Make sure that set up a name in the arena (the red portal thing at level 0) so you can play at the arena (online multiplayer) and trade/receive items.

    4. After every quest, goto the store and sell the stuff that you don't need, since you will fill up your inventory very fast. Also keep note that you can store items in your skill, and materials spaces too. I would use those to keep items you want to trade/giveaway.

    5. ME was a pretty steep difficulty curve and things will become much harder at level 9. The game changes drastically there so post if you need help on level 9 and we can provide some tips.

That's pretty much it for some starter tips. Remember you can always ask for help!

(P.S. Tell me your in-game name once you set one up. I've got some extra skills that you could use. I also suggest that you put your in-game name in your signature so everyone can easily see it.)

There's an enemy with some sort of gravity shake weapon. It doesn't do all that much damage, but the insane screen shake makes it annoying and hard to kill. I just use some AOE skill, or flail around with melee until it dies.
