That hell demon/mini-boss on Level 9 was a snap for me to get rid of. I hung waaaaay back and sniped him from a distance. Seems he got caught on something and couldn't move forward. For the level 9 boss, the first time he "died" I dropped a doomsday on him and dodged his attacks as much as I could (read: health potions galore!). Keep popping in and out of level 9 until you wind up with a map that suits your strategy.
Please share your success story with me afterwards. What gun did you use? Isn't Doomsday nerfed in this update? Also, you got lucky with the mini boss right? Too bad Noogardlous got nerfed as well...
Damn Doom!!! I almost had you, but then i accidentally pressed the teleport skill when trying to switch my skill set! Really should move that thing.....
So how exactly does arena work? I went up to the portal, set my name and entered the arena but after that nothing happened and I can't interact with the portal now, I can just walk through it and nothing will happen.

Item #1: export/import savegame data via iTunes (for backups, jumping from one device to another during device upgrades, etc.) Item #2: online export/import savegame data from arena server (allows for syncing play between iPad & iPhone/iPod Touch) Item #3: Magic I-Ball: New spell/skill that when fired off allows the user to control a high-speed remote viewing floating eyeball so they can "recon" areas ahead. Spell lasts 10 seconds at start, additional 5 seconds with each upgrade. When activated user's view is immediately centered similar to the zoom skill. Enemies ignore the Magic I-Ball. To quote John Hodgeman: "You're welcome."
Ryan I have a problem with the update! I have the CE edition, and I am at level 14 the quest 51 (Something wicked...) accepted, and I completed it with the update installed but I can't speak to Dr. Sierra now. I can't complete the quest! What should I do? I DONT want to start the game from 0 now... HALP!
Now that the patch is out, will the awesome early CE adopters be getting some nice presents tomorrow night? Can multiple things be stored in the mailbox...I hope so as I haven't collected anything yet as I am finishing up Hoggy before starting things up. Anyone want to comment on how long a level/area takes to finish?
