I could give you a hint how to beat the last boss but you would be done.. ;P.. So NO!... =).. Must get update one out!..
I'm no developer but balancing a game to be fun is probably something that should be aimed for. If a game has a vertical difficulty curve (ala level 9) it will just turn off most gamers. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for others to pick it up.
Armors Can the following armors be added at some point? Extravagance Fury, infected, condemed, seeker. All variants of the same enemy, and the coolest looking. Would really like to see this in an update.
Level 9 is a peak difficulty level.. some breezed right through playing strategically. Level 11 is back to a lower end curve that peaks at the end of each episode. And yes again that is going in the update...
Not this update. I need to get it out and stability is far more important but after update 1 I can look into it for sure =)
Yes, this is exactly right. If you cant beat a boss, dont bang your head against a wall for hours, just go grind for 30 mins and come back and he's cake.
Because grinding is always so much fun and such a modern gaming mechanic! Level 9 is a "peak" difficulty level?! Lulz... seriously? Out of 50, you decide level 9 should have a near vertical curve?! Ummmmm..... sorry to say that really just sounds like an excuse. It's not about "being strategic" either. It's about balance, or in this case lack thereof. I died 6 times from level 1-8. Six. Level 9 came along and I died 54 times total before beating it. That is the classic definition of a balance issue there. I'm just wondering how many players will quit playing because of that, never a good thing when we are talking 9/50 levels in. Luckily I passed the level myself, but almost gave up. I've been playing hardcore RPG/FPS's for the last 27 years and have rarely met up with an early level that gives that much trouble.
Let me be more accurate for you silent. Level 9 is ONE of the peaks.. (Every end tier is a decided peak just like any game out there) Let me also be more accurate in what I said before in that balancing is an ongoing issue and due to its subjective nature will not make everyone happy...This is a target for update one. Back to work!..
i think he tried to make it hard cuz it was the last lvl in the quest 1-9 area... and lvl 11 is WAY easier
Loving the difficulty, keep up the good hard work man. Hopefully the next update will be soon and fix a lot of the crashing and bugs. Going to wait until the update for my next playthrough though. Edit: Quick question How do you do the last tower? The mobs are all level 60 and my XP bar stopped moving at level 51 even though I'm getting XP in the second to last tower.
Yeah, I would like to know as well. I get worked in there. I have 805hp and over 14k armor and one shotted! I'm also guessing the lvl50 eq bug is hindering our progress as we can't upgrade our gear. It's one hell of a difficulty ramp up in the last tower. I like a challenge but geezus....
BTW .. If others have tough spots they want toned down .. let me know!.. So far Level 9 boss and minnions, Final boss, and slow down later bosses (and yes the death kites) =)..
Quite on the contrary! I think the difficulty is brilliant, and one of the most appealing aspects of Mission Europa. In this casual day and age, a real challenging experience is rare. /signed Yeah. I actually think this makes for a very pleasant balance between proceeding through the story and the levels, and revisiting old areas. In a classic MMO, grinding is a truly boring mechanic, since the game is based on auto-attacks and some few abilities. In a game such as Mission Europa, however, the grind can actually be (at least mildly) entertaining, since the game is reflex- and precision-based, and places large demands on skill on the part of the user.
