Great idea on the contest..Update rolling now!.. As some know I finally had a breakthrough (Devs if your trying to do firewall punchinh check that blog post it could save you the 30 hours it took to learn what went wrong..) Arena is going to be huge I think!.. In the future I want to focus on different types of games and stuff Back to work!
I know you had tried a "lite" version for the previous game, but I really think one here could get more players in the proverbial door. This game is so addicting, that if you let players get to level 3 or so they would HAVE to pay the unlock fee for the rest of the game due to just sheer addictivness. Also I see a lot of forum posts where people seem trepidatious about even the $2.99 entry point. All I know is if you had given me a taste of this game, I would have done just about anything to continue playing!
+1 I bought the CE without a lite version because I wanted to support you, Ryan, but I can see a lot of people passing this excellent game by. I actually decided to pass on Secret of Mana and the triple $0.99 gameloft sale and instead get this and Robot Wants Kitty (Raptisoft Rocks), since I prefer supporting indie devs that actually produce great games, listen to feedback, and update them!

I am moving fast on the update.. I think and hope next week sometime as it takes time for apple to review.. I still have to finilize the arena.. then get to the stability issues.. After things stabilize I may try to find a way to make standard free. I just need a method to do that and not screw existing customers... That is a while off as I need to get her ship shape before people start to really show up.. The free version will not have the mailbox.. They might get the arena.. Not sure yet.. Yea cause I bought the standard along with a bunch of other people. Hmm... Well you could give everybody that bought the SE the ability to use enemy armor... And maybe send out some rare items or a big care package or something... Idk lol
Is there a way you could limit the times they play the arena? Or charge like 0.99 for a week of unlimited arena? That would either really help or really hurt the game though...

Is it me or this game looks terrible. I don't understand the fever for this game. Did I missed something?

The gameplay is f***ing amazing and enemies are varied and it feels satisfying... It was also done by one guy on an engine he made himself, it is huge, I have about 11 hours of gameplay. And I'm only lvl 16, on quest level 14 out of 50 and there are I sane weapons, and the pvp is being developed, ctf and tdm may come later. Love it. There's also a nice mail system ingame for items and skills.
