Thanks! It is wonders what you can do when your not making an engine along with a game.. So much more time for story/gameplay/graphics! I will keep posting as I go for ideas and critiques from others.
Things are moving along! Somehow the first level may be playable in a couple of weeks, not bad for less than a month of work. That's one guy working part-time, and he never used Unity before, I don't know how he does it!
Finaly... Finaly something to look forward to. Thank you Ryan. Its great to hear and read about how much fun you are having with Unity. I am really looking forward to this. Are you going to use any assets (like 3D models, textures etc.) or will all be done by you? Also, the inventory looks really creepy haha
Primoz he updates his site pretty frequently, you should definitely check it out! He's working on getting the models and animations down. He says the first level should be done within a few days. I can't wait to see this game!
Screenshots look amazing (strength is spelt wrong though But looks great. Really looking forward to this
Sorry I took so long to respond the thread kinda died! Primoz : Some bought some made. Some stolen from my shelved project Cursed Realms. And the inventory is a baby long to grow. LOL you will not be carrying YOUR body parts around just others..Having a blast not keeping an engine and a GAME up to date! Unity so far is a BREEZE and very strong... Wood: Both lol =) PSJ: Thanks man thats the rocket fuel that keeps me up late at night! =).. Working right now =) More in depth dork talk tech style at the blog . No need to bore people here with that =).. Be back to check soon =)
Oooooo my goodness! Been aching for a good sci-fi horror/shooter since Dead Space 3's disappointment. This is shaping up to be a dream come true (and very quickly! Glad to hear Unity is going smoothly )
Is there any chance of Mission Europa 2 launching cross platform to include Android support? ...and/or Cursed Realms?!?
Thanks it is and it will be =)... Unity so far has been easier then all the other engines I have used only complaints are in the level of access to some parts. But so far so good. Back to work
Thats the plan for ME and all future works. Cursed Realms is shelved =)... but after ME2 I am planning currently on moving it to unity and all its assets. Unity I think can do all I was doing in Cursed realms.. only cross platform =) Good to see ya undead =)
It was connected to both =)... The story is woven between ME and Necro through the explosion of the end level gate device of ME1... ME2 is not on earth where the cursed realms opened. You are a space merc and a brother to the man who started it all. You are looking for a way to find your brother as he messaged you right before he entered the gate he could not return from after it fell to earth. Your a burly pissy sort of guy who loves his brother. They are part of the same underground organazation... anywho lots of story to play =) And Unity will make it EASY to bring to life.
Woah... Mind blown. That's awesome. Do you have any desire to return to the necromancer series after cursed realms? Sorry I'm getting a little ahead of myself (and you, haha)
Yes =) I love Sci fi but I also love mid-evil .. thus the mix of ideas I get out there =).. Unity and a honoring of the original indie offering would be awesome =) If only I could quit my day job =P
I personally favor sci-fi myself, but I'm a sucker for any sort of shared universe stuff. (Like the Pixar theory, haha). Would be wonderful if ME2 was a run away success to get you grinding full time! Also: I made a post About this in my (long dormant) sci fi games thread http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=221612
Just downloaded necromancer rising rb yesterday, loving it so far. Reminds me of system shock 2 and absolutely love how metal it is! When me2 gets released I'm going to need to take some action time.........
Awesome that sucker is old I hope to start a patch for the first me soon... It just takes time ;/ and I am so glad to be in unity now and not my own engine I have to support
