Just like in the original game from ATARI the player takes over command of three defense towers and has to defeat incoming missile attacks. The first impression of this game wins the player with an atmospheric ambience, nice effects as well as a proper retro-like soundtrack. The game is presented in portrait mode which is a sweet choice and makes the game especially on a smartphone very enjoyable. For beginners the difficulty level can be really tough but that gives the spice of Missile Conflict BLITZ. Once you warmed up you notice very soon that your skill increases from match to match. Every mission is composed of multiple attack waves and after each defeated wave of incoming missiles the player can select one of several upgrades that gives his turrets stronger shields, faster cooldown, salvo fire and more. An interesting approach of Missile Conflict BLITZ is that the player can choose the upgrades from the bottom up in every mission and has the opportunity of trying out new combinations every time. Same count for the Special Abilities, a kind of super weapons. The player selects up to three Special Abilities at the start of each mission but can activate each ability only once per mission. From time to time there is a chance to get back an ability and that can turn the scale in heavy battles. In Missile Conflict BLITZ you can find all of your achievements and rank insignia on your personal Career Board that can be shared with friends.
