Hundreds of iPhone sales at 2.99 a piece for a game that has sold well on the ipad for 14.99-9.99, doesn't terribly excite EA, I would imagine. Sure, they'll try to sell it at 9.99 initally, even on the iPhone, but it probably won't sell well on iPhone for anything above 4.99. Just look at EA's history on the iPhone AppStore. They have dominated the AppStore with apps selling between 2.99 & 4.99. They made many attempts in the past to sell games on the iPhone AppStore at 9.99, but it just hasn't worked.
I was under the impression they would start at 6.99 or so, like most of their other big titles. At any rate, they would definitely get my money.
Its funny though taht EA games had the salefirst.. so they are prob having sale, then game will PROB be released on monday so they are dominating the entire top game sales.
I forked over $10 for Street Fighter 4. I'd like to say it was worth it cause I love street fighter but I havent played it much because I play a lot of other 99 cent and free (for a day) games that I'm addicted to.
Do not buy it at more than 5.00. The campaign took me a whole 1 hour to beat. time runs are also slightly boring.
There's a chance it'll come out on Monday. I don't know about an iphone 4 version though. I think they'll want to try and sell the standard iphone verson for 9.99. If they made an iphone 4 version, they would have to charge more for it. They aren't going to go above 9.99 though. If they made a iphone 4 version, then the regular iphone version would have to sell for 6.99. Then the iphone 4 version could sell for 7.99. Overall, however, EA would lose on their gross sale numbers, if they were to use that model. I think there will be one version, and it'll sell for 9.99.
