OK. You're right. I put in my last two cents and know it's a disagreement that doesn't matter, so I'm done.
This is like the Guns N Roses-Chinese Democracy of the Ipod/Iphone..... Maybe Dr. Pepper can finally convince EA to release Mirrors Edge
Well, that I agree with. If it makes you feel any better, I broke down a couple of weeks ago and got the iPad version of the game. It ok, but not great. I certainly don't feel like it was worth $13.
It's not entirely EA's "fault" either that this wasn't launched on the iPhone already. This was slated to make its debut on the iPhone as seen by countless finished product video previews and tentative release dates. Then obviously Apple saw the product, stepped in knowing EA is a major company, and showed them the iPad thus creating a "MUST HAVE" launch title for the unit. This benefits both companies greatly. If Apple perhaps waited another month or two before revealing the iPad to major partners, iPhone users likely would've had Mirror's Edge in their hands. As it stands, EA is doing nothing but making smart business decisions at this point, even if they enrage a few people. Oh, and take it from someone that's been gaming for over two decades...EA doesn't mind enraging any of you in the least bit.
I'm on my third iPhone, but haven't purchased an iPad yet. I'm tempted, but part of what I love about my iPhone is that it's always in my pocket. The iPad does look cool, I just haven't convinced myself I need one yet. If I did get one, I'm sure I'd get ME for it though, even if I wouldn't be as excited as I was when I first saw the game.
nodoctors probably you are right but what are they continue to lie us ? if the game is doesn't coming anymore on the iphone they must tell us ..
I am a huge iPhone fan as well, but for those times when I have it with me (home, airplanes, sitting (but not standing) on the bus, sitting while my wife is shopping, etc) the iPad is fantastic. If you are trying to decide if the big screen makes that much of a difference, try playing Plants Vs Zombies on the iPhone, then play it on the iPad, then try to go back to the iPhone. What used to be a great game now feels tiny and underpowered. I used to read a lot on the iPhone, and loved it. Now I only do it when I absolutely have to.
Ya, the book reader and web browser are the two things that tempt me the most about the iPad. As to Plants vs Zombies -- I love Plants vs Zombies and can see how it would look great and play just as well on the iPad, so that is a temptation as well.
I've played PvZ on PC, iPod Touch, and iPad, and the iPad version wins hands down. It doesn't have the zen garden, but everything else is intact, and the gameplay just feels perfect. To me, PvZ is the real killer iPad app. I believe most demo units come with it installed at Best Buy, check it out. You will be sold.
6.99?? man EA is gonna charge a lot more for that!! Theyre money hungry people...so dont be surprised if its gonna be like 9.99 or more
They haven't gone over 6.99 before (as far as I know) But then again this is a largely anticipated release.
They charged 9.99 for Rock Band when it was released. If it ever is released, I would guess it to be at around 9.99. Maybe more.
