I definitely don't. Zenonia 2, while it is a mobile port, was much more fun for me than the original Final Fantasies (which both happen to be decades old). Same with Inotia 2: A Wanderer of Luone, IMO, VANQUISH: The Oath of the Brothers, etc. Chaos Rings looks nice though. Omega-F is still smarting after he predicted Street Fighter IV's controls would fail but everyone laughed at him extremely hard after it came out and the controls were actually good.
Yes, the kids pwned me hard for saying that virtual controls suck compared to normal dpads/joystick. I felt so bad I almost cut my wrists Well, that would be like saying which piece of dog**** smells better. Well, at least SE's RPGs have at least decent production values.
Chaos Ring, if it is even average, will blow Zenonia and Inotia games out of the water. The original Final Fantasies are boring because they use game mechanics from the 80s.
Well...FF XIII isn't that bad.... Did they develop Star Ocean 4? Because if so, I enjoyed that. I do think its unfair to put SE on the same level as Gamevil/Com2us which both seem to be run out of a garage.
Yeah, they did SO4. They also made other critically panned RPG's this gen, including Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery. FFXIII wasn't bad by any means, but it was unremarkable. In fact, the last great game they made was TWEWY (I hope there's a sequel in the works). The problem with Square Enix is that they seem far behind other companies that can publish games faster and with better quality. Atlus is a great example; those guys pumped two fantastic DS RPGs (Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor and Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey) and 2 Shin Megami Tensei Persona games for PSP in less than one year.
Last Remnant was a disaster. I'll agree that SE is just a shadow of the past, especially after the merger with Enix. I did enjoy the PS2 FF games. Atlus is awesome. I just started Persona 3 FES a couple weeks ago, which is AMAZING. I'm going to pick up Persona 4 soon to play after I'm finally done with 3.
Yeah, the Shin Megami Tensei franchise is outstanding, but here's the truth, "The Quest" games for iPhone are way better.
Dude, between the Zenonia, Inotia and Quest series, the iPhone is "the" rpg platform this generation....
I guess you can't sense sarcasm. But really, after reading this thread, I'm not going to drop any money on a game that has one freaking level. That's ridiculous, It's the same reasoning why I refuse to pay $15 for CoD Zombies and the DLC for 2 maps. Money is money and I only spend it on games that that I think are of some value.
Ok, first off, don't even classify the 15 skins as characters. They're skins, and there are what, 3 with special abilities? 1 of the characters with an ability you even have to buy. Also, what are you talking about there are more than three weapons? Theres the grenade luancher, shotgun, and machine gun. Don't even say 'OH BUT THAR IS DUEL WEELDING!'.
Why are people asking this question, it's the dumbest question ever, is Minigore worth a dollar... well it isn't going to be free, and have you seen any 49 cent apps... I didn't think so, just buy it, it's on sale... you can't go wrong! I count the crates that explode as a weapon! They count, they aren't a power up, and they kill furries, it's a weapon, just like a bomb!
