And you really think it is better to punish people instead of giving a gift to them? Nice to share the planet with people like you! Hope you will have fun in your live by meeting your mental lookalikes.
I'm not saying it would be a bad thing, but the people who actually unlocked Sensei by getting 1 million kills will feel cheated. If you spent days doing something and everybody else got it for free, would you be happy?
Yes, because I still feel as though I accomplished something. It's like saying that if you work hard to earn $80,000 a year, a someone wins $80,000 on a game show, you wouldn't be angry and be jealous at them, you would be happy for them.
you do know some of you guys pushed them to release it so quickly. this isnt the first time either.. just saying
I think honestly you guys don't need compensation. I mean look at you guys, Threatening Game Developers. That would be the most useless waste of time in anybodies life but yours. I could Just imagine what your afternoon is like 1:00 Bash Minigore 2:00 Flame War on Touch Arcade 3:00 Make a PB&J Sandwich (cuz their good) this is no lie 4:00 Spam useless nonsense on Minigore's Site Maybe just getting the main product isnt good enough for you. Go ahead develop your own game. Accidentely mess up. Get stuck between a rock and a hard place with unlocks. Then you will see why minigore is having a hard time.
Another excuse. Everyone always wants something out eagerly. Same goes for big-name movies, big-name console games, iPhone OS update, new gadgets, everything. They just have to deal with it, especially with their way of overhyping the updates. Another way would be to release the update in smaller pieces. Just go give some comparison examples and an idea how to avoid similar mistakes in the future. Btw, have you invited the devs here?
yea but the thing is with indie devs, and especially devs on their first game for this platform they try to listen to their customers. and what their customers were saying was "oh this takes too long.. i cant wait for guerilla bob" "why do small useless updates take forever!! just release it already and get me my co-op!!" you see the problem here? they cant risk losing sales and getting negative reviews so they try to get things out as fast as possible, which leads to problems such as this - not saying this is the only cause but it sure did contribute. and not sure if the devs have seen this yet, i put the link in the beta group tho
@playn: They should've released it as a complete game in the first place, not 10% of the game. No wonder people are impatient because they're paying for an unfinished product. And to make it worse, they always keep over promising, thus making people more eager and impatient. They should just keep quiet and roll the update when it's ready.
i honestly dont remember them promising anything. in fact if you searched through their posts i can almost guarentee they didnt (prove me wrong) they can say such and such is coming but they didnt promise. ive never seen them use that word or even elude to it and minigore was never ever meant to be like this, it was originally meant to be a teser to hardgore but because it got so popular they decided to make FREE updates to please their fans. obviously backfired. this marketing would work in a proper gaming console but not on one dominated by young individuals - under 16 mostly i would say
Hmmm.. Minigore was meant to be a teaser for Hardgore? Where did you get this alleged information from? If it was meant to be a teaser, it would've been free.
