REPOST "It went like this Post on the thread to show interest Santa PM's you Email back with the beta tester subject so they have your email Email from the devs asking a few more questions You email back the answers They have said that they are looking for a wide variety of people so they are probably giving everyone a chance to respond, looking them over, then they will let us know in the morning by emailing everyone." Lots of people have said that the email was in their spam folder so you may want to check there.
It looks like lots of the scenery elements (bushes) are meant to look like flat cut-outs, so that would help a lot, and the terrain is as flat as a pancake. Both help keep polygon count low, and give the game that innocent look we all remember fondly from "the magic roundabout" (coughs loudly). Our brave hero Ahmed the butcher (I'm sorry, probably not politically correct, but to me he looks like a mix of a butcher with a hygenic hair net and a rug merchant wearing a taqiya) moves around on a set of wind-up wheels and can't climb uphill.
Santa is "making his list and checking it twice" we should here something back on monday though *crosses his fingers*
Not me, they said they would sleep over it and get back to everyone on Monday... Mountain sheep has put our names in a big black cauldron and is going to let the oldest Fjord Troll pick the winners.. (sorry, you beat me dynamite vegan!)
excuse me but but not all of us in the eastern US sleep in late Now those lazy bums on the west coast...
Doesn't say much for me then, I'm in the east coast and I just woke up. It's Memorial Day, I'm supposed to remember what it's like to sleep late Anywho, Minigore...
As much as we would all love to hear back today, Santa said "early next week" so it could tomorrow or even Wednesday. I'm sure someone will post here as soon as they hear back though
The Cauldron of Beta has spoken! After throwing the testers... letters into the black cauldron we have come up with the final list! We will not show it here (we leave it up to them), but seven shall be the number of testers and the number of testers shall be seven. By the end of the week shall the seven testers be deceas... no, we mean be receiving -- yes! -- receiving the Holy Instructions On How To Proceed. Santa congratulates the testers and urges others not to fall into despair, as he hears about an approaching Minigore contest in which the grand prize is made of none other than pure awesomeness!
