According to the blog, it does appear that they finally submitted part 1 of the Episode 4 update. Since it's so late in the game though, we probably won't see this until 2011. These are the features that appear to be confirmed:

Local co-op multiplayer with Wifi. They say that Bluetooth and online multiplayer will be "in a future update".

    Full retina display support

    New joysticks

    Bug fixes

Grandma and Grandpa Gore available as DLC. Neither has voice acting, and Grandpa has a shotgun. Grandma is a regular character with regular weapons.

John Gore has new voice phrases.

It snows on the snow map, and there are clouds on the forest map.

Hopefully we'll see zombies before next Halloween.

The day this releases people will start complaining about the time it's taking for ep5 to come out.

Take a look at the date that this thread was started... It's been a year and 3 days since this episode was announced. Plus, they're only releasing half of it with this update...

They don't have to release any updates, so anything else is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

That philosophy may work for a large company who sells many different titles, but this is Mountain Sheep's only product.
No updates=No one buying DLC=Bankrupt company. New sales of this game at $.99 were so bad that they had to give the game away for free for a week... hoping that the influx of new users would purchase the DLC. Any dev who releases an unfinished game in the AppStore and then neglects it is guaranteed zero long-term success.

Yes, but I doubt anyone complaining about the delay of this update are doing so because they are concerned about MS's bottom line. If they need to sell DLC to stay afloat it's no ones problem but their own.

But let's stop all this a fussin'n'fuedin' and enjoy that ep 4 is finally out (it's been like a year or something!).

Well you were saying that they didn't have to release updates, but really... they do if they want to stay in business. Not feuding... just discussing. And yeah it'll be nice once this is out. Although I personally am really only interested in the new maps that are due to come out in Part 2. Multiplayer doesn't do anything for me. Lookin forward to the snow falling in the snow map though...

Well I meant they didn't have to from the customers perspective.

Some Christmas lights added to the snow level would have been nice ;)

so basically we waited this long for only wifi multiplayer. i'm not even talking about online multiplayer, but we couldn't even have bluetooth?? this is a fail of an update. no zombies, no bluetoothe. we get wifi and two characters that play the same. Do you really think snow falling is gona keep me interested?

During the last few days we had the Game Center online multiplayer running but at this point we didn't want to risk any more delays so that's why we submitted wifi only. There's many more characters to choose from than was originally intended for the co-op so that's pretty cool!

It would be great if someone would edit the title with a line that says "submitted" :)

If you look at public appannie.com ranking data you'll find out that Minigore has been among the top 100 action games on the app store for over a year. I don't know where you got your info.

I told you! We would wait almost a year and people still wouldn't be happy with the update. It's not a very big update and I think we all thought it would be a bit bigger. As long as we don't have to wait as long for the next update I will not be disappointed with this one.
