Yeah, yeah, so I got it. 2.1k and change on my first try. Very well done game for what it is -- which really is just your basic Serious Sam-style epic battle, only without an end, and with a couple of powerups to be found. (Beast and the shotgun, at least that's all I've found so far.) The posted video pretty much sums up the experience start to finish, with the exception of the fact that your thumbs tend to obscure some of the action, which makes it a little more difficult than the video makes it look. Does it live up to the hype? Hell no. This thing was more hyped than a newfound Disney starlet, and it wasn't even the developers that did it. Somehow the hype took on a life of its own and became some sort of holy grail. It's fun, incredibly slick, great graphics and sound and amusing quips uttered by your character, but beyond the gleaming polish it's just an endless onslaught of black furry ... things until you die. Once you've gotten the two powerups and reached the really big furry ... things ... you've pretty much seen everything. Then it just becomes your standard survival grind. Granted, you certainly get your money's worth -- it's a steal at a buck -- but at its core, what you see is what you get.
AGH!!! This sucks -_- My wifi is super weak lately. I can only pick it up in a certain spot of my house and only with my computer. it isnt strong enough for my ipod to pick up. so i cant view the open feint stuff and all. aaaahhh. need a fix for it. T_T
@Hobbes: you gotta grab one of those exploding boxes, before it explodes. (It explodes because you are shooting it, so don't shoot it if you want the shotgun.)
MiniGore - Simple and straight forward game play. One landscape, one level. Left stick is to move 360 degrees and right stick is to shoot 360 degrees. You just try and survive as long as possible against the furries which come in three sizes. The bigger furries, as you shoot them will multiply into the smaller sized furries (like Gremlins). You have power ups as far as weapons and one power up that changes you into a fiery boar creature. Scoring it in its current state, 3/5 stars for me. It is exactly what I expected and with updates this will be a winner. I enjoy it as much as FC when that had just one airport. Something that I will keep coming back to in order to try and beat my previous highscore. My honest opinion. EDIT: The art style is what makes this game unique and probably why most are so excited about it. Timo is very talented.
Happy happy joy joy My sons r going to freak! Ty Chill, yall rock it's everything I had hoped for! Great job!
Sometimes I feel like there are situations in the game that the machine gun works much better than the shot gun. Also it would be have been cool to see that when you turn into the monster that the furries run away from you (pacman knock off )
Its a bit lame that for most of the game you can just stand on the same spot slowly rotating the shoot stick and survive. At least in iDracula you had to keep moving to stay alive. With this it seems that the only time you actually need to move are when the bigger ones come along. Don't get me wrong.... the production values are gorgeous and for the price this is a fantastic app... but does it live up to the hype? Of course it doesn't. Please flame me.
