If you feel this game is incomplete, that's your opinion. Honestly, for 99c, I felt that this game was of higher quality, than many of the other games out there. Quality doesn't mean content. By no means was I expecting a full-blown game with missions, challenges, and a story, for 99 cents. I felt it was a complete game for the low price I paid. The fact that they will add content later doesn't make it incomplete either (IMO). I consider a few more levels, and co-op play to be a very worthy upgrade, and I wouldn't be disappointed to pay for co-op either. But again, this is just my opinion. I also confessed I am probably biased towards the game, because it's one of my favorite timewasters
Im thinking that the original update was rejected and they had to submit a new one because 3 weeks for an update is absurd even if it is apple
Minibore becomes Minisnore... I'm off to hibernate with Enviro Bear, wake me up when the update is out!
People expect WAY to much for $.99 Seriously they worked for months on the framerate optimization alone. You (sizzlakawhatever) call this incomplete but you don't say anything about the constant crashing of other games while this one never freeEs or crashes or glitches. Less than a dollar and you get full 3d characters and enemies with 2 power ups and exploding crate online and local high scoring with an expert mode and you call it incomplete? I'm confused at the logic you're using
its not that its lacking content, I dont mind paying the $1 just for the few hours (if that) I enjoyed it at first, its that they promised updates. Im not blaming them, but Apple. Without the updates, I actually find this game rather boring, like PG, I havent played this game for weeks.
Well, Diggawhatever, I call it incomplete because for the amount of hype and posts and promises, we have a twin stick shooter. For the LAST TIME, it has nothing to do with the price. I've said that from the beginning. I don't expect more for $.99. What I'm saying is I would have rather paid 10 dollars and had what they promised FROM THE BEGINNING than pay a buck and get a one enemy, one hero, two weapon, one background, twin stick shooter. I was through posting here, but apparently some people read something slightly critical about their beloved and don't even read what I've written. You're confused by my logic because you're not really reading my posts carefully enough to understand my point.
TimoVihola, I really like the game, and appreciate the effort your team has put into getting it running perfectly (i have never had a slowdown, freeze, glitch, etc.) I haven't been playing it much lately, but that is because of waiting on updates, not because of issues with the game. I have a question about your dealings with apple that I'm sure many people hear would like to know also: You (as in the company you work for) submitted your update about 17 days ago. Have you heard anything from apple since then? Or is it just a submit and it pops up whenever kind of thing? Have you emailed them inquiring about what was taking so long? I only ask because i would be very agitated if i were you. Everyday that they delay and approve the latest fart or bathing suit app is literally costing you money. I'm not a developer, don't know much about this whole process, but I know enough to see when a process isn't working correctly. (not just talking about your game, there are so many things apple could do better with the appstore.) But, none of this surprises me, as the itunes program runs less efficiently(slower) than anything else installed on my computer. I'm just curious as to what your team is doing, thinking, while this gets drawn out and everyone here is complaining and apple is twiddling thumbs. It just strikes me as strange that a known, popular app with a proven fan-base is left up in the air when it comes to updates. If I knew every other Thursday Minigore had an update, you could be certain I would be online watching for it. I know all about the coming updates, and your efforts with what I have on my phone right now, I'm just curious how this updating process is affecting your team. thoughts?
darchinst: The long wait is definitely frustrating for us and it affects our sales in a negative way but there's nothing we can do to make the approval process go faster so we try not to think about it too much. Things COULD be much worse: they could send us a rejection letter instead of seeing the update pop up in the App Store. I like to focus more on the positives, that gives me energy to keep going. For example it's great to just read about the cool ideas players have for the game, it gives me plenty of inspiration and motivation! Due to the long approval process I've had lots of time to work on the snow level I had some trouble with the trees and bushes at first but I finally realized how to make them look nice after watching a sick episode of South Park: Cheers, Timo
wow that snow level looks cool can't wait to see this game evolve, the plans for this game sound awesome its going to be something speciail. just ignore the ppl who want the whole universe in there pocket for 99c they are getting boring now repeating thereself over and over, aint they got nothing better to do, we all heard them the first time, no need to repeat it 50 times
Timo. Indeed those are some awesome looking trees. Artists tend to find inspiration in the most unlikely of places. I find myself getting similar inspirations with my artwork. Any ways, excellent job man, I cant wait.
PLEASE tell me there will be blood stains on the snow, e.g. the classic from Running With Scissors: POSTAL
I know, I know, "Shun the non-believer," but is this game really as fun as people say it is? I want to know before I go and buy this app.
SHUN SHUN. J/k But really, this game really shows how dedicated the dev is to this product. Really nice animations, no lag or freezing, and an undeniable charm. The game itself is at its bare minimum in gameplay but is still enjoyable once in awhile and the dev is currently working hard on updates to add much more variety and gameplay. The only thing holding him back is apple. Basically, if you are a fan of twin stick shooters at all or arcade games then this is a must buy at only .99 in my opinion.
