IGN's Review 7.0 Presentation Cute, colorful and stylish menus and graphics, some funny moments, and an online leaderboards system. Lacks depth and options all around, though. 8.0 Graphics Really pleasing style works brilliantly on iPhone. Great engine, particle effects, faked lighting effects and fluid framerate. It all comes together, but more variation is needed. 7.5 Sound Funny one-liners and orchestrated music, but again, there's just not enough variation. 7.0 Gameplay The virtual thumbstick controls feel a little looser than they do in iDracula, but they still work well enough. Gunning down enemies is fun and satisfying. Lacks variation, though. 5.0 Lasting Appeal Unless you're the kind of gamer who needs to see his name on the tops of leaderboards, you will probably grow bored with the game's limited selection of content soon after playing. 7.0 Decent OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average) This.
Can't expect Minigore to have the exact positioning with the controls as iDracula All my twin-stick shooters have slightly different sized controls, and I don't mind adjusting to them. As for lasting appeal, it's a Pick-up-and-Play game, what did they expect? An epic full 40 hour extravaganza?
They expected Mountain Sheep to observe iDracula's perks and faults and improve. But what has this offered? Less! Just another case of style over substance!
Some achievements could be... example: achievement: get 500 pts. in 1 game or achievement: Killed 3 big furries! or even achievement: Turn into a bull 3 times in 1 game! IDK (is it a bull?)
Stupid things I HOPE they never try to expand on! What's John's motivation? Why are the furries so intent on killing him? What kind of crazy lab experiments were performed on John to give him his altered state? What is the story behind his infinite ammo machinegun?
When your the protagonist , you always have a infinite amount of bullets ,take chow yung fat for example. There is no real origin that we can even fathom Lol
I got Minigore today, and I LOVE it. Great graphics, smooth animation, hilarious monologue performed by one of my favorite internet stars. Addictive and challenging gameplay, and epic/humorous music. Mountainsheep RULES. I can't wait for Hardgore. It'll be like playing TD and Minigore at the same time! At least they aren't as bad as Gamespot. Exactly. It doesn't give a story behind everything which is one thing that makes this game original and awesome.
Thanks everyone who has purchased the game, we'll pour the money back into the development of Minigore! Thanks also for the feedback and the achievement ideas, "environmentalist" for the win! Insane mode is obviously required. One remedy is to make flaming furries of all sizes: the flaming furry giant would spawn firefurries etc. That'll make it much harder towards the end game. We just played first game of co-op multiplayer over here on the development units and it's looking very promising! It still needs the character selection screens and lots of tweaking. John Gore's daughter is armed to the teeth, Evan Hsu is putting his warpaint on in the locker room as we speak and Envirobear kicks ass with only one arm! Expect to see some announcements this week, as characters many of you've been hoping for will be revealed! (I feel like some of you have telepathic ability ) Cheers, Timo
IGN review was pretty good if you read the actual text: http://wireless.ign.com/articles/100/1009293p1.html Btw. the last time I checked iDracula costs $2,99 so I would expect it to have more content than a game that costs $0,99
I don't have time to read 100 pages of posts, so sorry if this info is already out there. Will the special characters be available in the single player mode or only in co-op? I can't wait for the updates to come out.
I love this game. Thanks for creating it. Make an achievment for xx number of shotgun kills in one shotgun. That would be both terrible and awesome at the same time. Please add wifi for us iPod Touch users if you haven't already. I will be waiting. Their review was ok. It just lacked depth and variation.
Only if they have different stats/abilities/weapons. There is nothing more annoying than the classic "re-skin" a character with no appreciable differences.
I don't mind a reskin, because it means if you're favourite character was inferior to all the rest, and you wanted to compete for score, then you wouldn't be able to play him, or wouldn't be able to compete.
