Yea I read that, but almost all games that had 'retina support for iPhone 4' could also run retina support on the iPod touch 4th gen. Such as Doodlejump, it updated for iPhone retina support before the iPod was released, but it runs the retina support on my iPod anyway and looks awesome.
I have an iPhone 4 and the game looks just like it did previously on 3GS. Do the devs not test to see if this stuff works? 2XL Games and Gameloft has this problem, as well. Maybe the retina update only applies to words?
The left side image was taken with older iPod touch, right side image is with iPhone 4: russiaone: It works fine on my iPhone 4. If you take screenshot by holding down the power button then pressing home button what size image does it save? If it works it should save 960x640 pixel image, if it didn't the image size will be 480x320 pixels. iPod touch 4 was introduced around the time when we submitted the update and it seems like the higher resolution doesn't activate on it. We don't yet have iPod touch 4 at the office to test the game with but it should be quite easy to add support for it. Technically it's more than capable of running the new resolution & frame rate.
yay so ipod touch 4th gen users have to wait till duke nukem forever comes out till we see the next update since apple is backed up so bad it needs a hefty intake of fiber and a enema to clear em up!!!
I think this is my problem... Though the in-game action might be a bit better looking, the overall package still seems stuck in the past. I'll play more, but initially, I'm a bit underwhelmed. That being said, thanks for the quicky reply, Timo. Much appreciated.
I accidentally selected Flip Screen and now everything is frozen. None of the menu buttons work and I can't get into the game. Rebooted the phone and it just opens to the menu it froze at. Any ideas? iPhone 4 with iOS4.1.
Yep. Looks the same on iPod Touch 4. Although the framerate is increased. But a fix for iPod Touch 4s would be nice
The game is still good, it's a survival dual stick shooter, that's the point of the game. They have a lot of new stuff planned atm too, they also just hired more people (I believe) and moved offices. So shut up or gtfo!
It's just the promised updates that never happen make people angry, and then they suddenly think it is bad because of that reason, which is certainly not true I certainly like to shoot up furry things from time to time
