Edited version of my previous post, divided into paragraphs to make it easier to read. ------The first thing John felt as he gained consciousness was the excruciating pain. The second thing he felt, was the overwhelming need to throw up, as if he had been kicked in the gut several good times and that he did. As he straightened, he took stock of his surroundings. He was standing in a valley, and a beautiful one at that. The green grass could be seen for miles, speckled with a few clusters of trees. Further off, the green turned to grey, as it faded into the slopes. And almost too far off to see, the grey turned white, snow. It was utterly quiet and peaceful. The only sound was John's ragged breathing. ------He then focused his attention on himself. He had no recollection of where he was, or how he got there, but the bruises and cuts all over his body showed that it was not by accident. Suddenly he became alert. Some primal instinct told him someone, or something, was watching him. He quickly put it behind him and began walking. As he neared a group of boulders, he noticed some extraordinarily white rocks, scattered between the boulders. But as the distance lessened between him and the boulders, the more wary he became. The white rocks weren't rocks at all. They were bones. ------Suddenly John felt the urge to run, and to not look back. But curiosity compelled him to grow even closer. He noticed a machine gun laying between the bones. He picked it up, with a ever-deepening sense of fear. Suddenly his hairs stood up on the nape of his neck, and he turned quickly, brandishing the machine gun. Nothing was there but the trees and the grass, but John did notice something. On the ground, there was an unusually large four leaf clover. As he picked it up and inspected it, it began to glow and suddenly disappeared into his hand. He felt light headed, as if he suddenly released a great weight from his body. ------The sensation soon passed, but John abruptly forgot it as he felt a sharp pain on his leg. He looked down, and there was a tiny furball attached to his leg. He reached down and wrenched it's teeth out of his flesh, and inspected it. It was roughly the size of a football, with eyes, and two rows of gleaming teeth. He was about to set it down, when he noticed more coming out of the bushes toward him. He flung it away barely batting one coming for his face aside. He turned, ran a few steps, and then opened fire on the furballs. Each one exploded in a puff of fur and a splatter of blood. ------He turned and ran, dodging the furballs at every turn. Suddenly, the bushes parted with a crash and a 6-foot-tall furball rushed at him. He opened fire, and to his dismay, it split into about 30 of the smaller furballs. "Die!" he screamed, and quickly mopped up what remained of them. ------Between running and shooting, John's mind was working fast. He noticed a grove of trees directly in front of him. He judged the distance, and then sprinted for all he was worth. As he closed the distance between him and the grove, he skidded to a stop in surprise and terror. 3 trees fell, revealing the largest furball he had seen up to this point. Standing nearly 10 feet tall, it must have been four-hundred pounds of pure fur. To his fortune, he noticed a pineapple hand grenade in a clump of bushes at his feet. He grabbed it, pulled the pin, and lobbed it in the direction of the monster. The grenade went off with a resounding boom, leaving a smoking crater where the furball had been. ------He completed his dash to the trees, and adeptly scaled one. The smaller furballs circled the tree in frustration, then turned and disappeared into the undergrowth. The sun was setting in the distance, and the night approached.
I can't argue with that! Having owned iDracula & now Minigore, I have to say I really enjoy Minigore a lot more. I know iDracula has a variety of game types & weapons over Minigore, but I just love the graphics & funny little sayings the characters do. Plus, it has Open Feint which is awesome. This game can only get better and better.
+1, I'm actually hearing a lot less negativity towards Minigore after Episode 3, and Episode 4 will be stuffed with content.
Yup, what I hear is that we will get a mini update 3.5 with 3 characters we know (Lizzy, Ninjaman, Zombieville Hick guy) & then 2 secret characters. So 5 more little box dudes to play with. Then a hefty update with Episode 4!
because people love the game, but hate the changes... for example one may dislike how furries are exploding with blood now (ep2) or day-night cycle (ep3)... and there is no way to disable this! minigore was always repetitive... how can game concentraded on walking in circles and shooting to never-ending waves can be not repetitive? with unlockables? then what then? oh, another unlockables? can you see the pattern here...? but it was simple and fun then, now instead of refining what it was, minigore was made into a unnecessary complicated game and all original content was stripped off (original simple gameplay, original john's voices, original music) etc. and now this game is completely dependant on adding new content, instead of just making it a good game...
Care to elaborate? ... The limited gameplay or the type of game it is (survival) wears off fast? I've had Minigore for a couple months now and iDracula way longer. Minigore suits me better, for some reason iDracula is just to cluttered for me. I agree to a certain extent that these type of games can wear off fast if you constantly play them none stop, but I play maybe ten minutes every couple of days. Never wears off for me, especially when they start to talk. It cracks me up every time. So, I guess to each his own.
I think it is good for new ppl to be liking the game more and more. Sincerely I now like it less, being someone that used to play this game a lot, I now find it repetitive. Why you ask? Well, yes, the new weapons are really cool, but that's about all the game has... The love for unlocking new chars is fast gone due to the fact that the chars you alrdy unlocked add nothing new, not even a new voice over, so you only do that for the fan base (as in the enviro-bear case), that way, you have to bear with 100+14000+32000+100000+1000000 kills of the exact gameplay to unlock everything. And that my friend, is repetitive. Maybe when you were striving for nothing, just playing for fun, you didn't see this repetitiveness, but it is all the much clearer now that you have an objective, do the same thing for hours till you get that x character you want. This game needs a change in mechanics at least, have chars have different stats/skills/unique weapons, something that fighting for new characters is worth for, not just Sensei Evan, but every new char. Maybe add different levels, or different types of enemies (maybe even teleporting furries, long distance atking furries, jumping furries, etc). And, for god's sake, develop the story... you have a background with a puppet master, like 4-5 chars shown in there, but only talk about John being lost in a forest? For no reason? Stories drive people into playing by wanting to figure out stuff, curiosity or simply char development. and YES! I KNOW that this is a .99c game (1.99 now i think) but if the developers want feedback, this is an honest and truthful and not flaming in any way feedback, by someone who really likes the charisma this game has and doesn't want it to fade away into repetitiveness.
Thanks, and yes, I know it's just an opinion, just that I think that this topic actually needs more opinions, I'm getting annoyed at people bashing or praising the game w/o actually saying anything about how to improve, what are the weaknesses, what do they like, dislike, etc. It would be a LOT more productive for the devs if (specially the bashers) stated why they don't like the game and how could that change.
I love the game, but it freezes more and crashes more. whenever it Srops, i pray to it, Like no please no!!!! and also, playheaven, is very buggy, yet new and cool.
I have minigore loaded on 3 iPhones and 2 iPod Touches in the house and none of them crash or freeze. Try restoring as new on your iphone/ipod or reinstall minigore straight from iTunes on your computer. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
nah its cool, i could care less. I'm not really striving for anything. I just like playing, i got 60k kills til Xmas gore and anew map! FOR FREEE!!!
Congrats! When I got the new update I thought it would take forever to get to 100k, but time flies when your killing furries!
I know! you just have to force yourself NOT to constantly check the counter and have fun! they did a great job of entertainging us til a new update!
Game crashes on me a lot, but only when I mess around with beast mode at night, so as long as I time my beast mode correctly it doesnt crash or freezes. But I know the "OMG pls don't crash" feeling, also, I restored my iTouch and updated it to the latest OS before re downloading Minigore and the last update. I haven't tried playheaven, heard it is slow and hard to make it work, what's it about?
