+1 The hype was created by many of the same people in this thread which is fine. People are having fun, but yeah, the statements are maybe just a little over the top.
... and getting excited over the upcoming HARDGORE! Which's hype is already amassing. Seriously, the marketing team did a frickin' incredible job here. I don't know what they did, but they turned a group of peaceful, cheeto munching suburbians into a crazed pack of berserkers filled with blood-lust.
really... I saw the thread had something like 3500 comments, so I expected they were going to be crazy, but not like THIS! I tried not to be involved and just wait for the release day. Reading the comments now makes me feel a bit "strange". I watched the gameplay video 2 minutes ago and I have to say it looks NICE, I want to give it a try, but I'm sure I won't play with this more than 5 days (if it's good). Definitely I won't feel like one of the best days in my life when the download is over.
Eh, of course I didn't take it serious, but for me even this silly comparison is exaggerated... Not to mention that waiting untill late night for this game for several days (some people actually did) is kinda freak...
Most of the minigore hype was from almost 10 people posting a bajillion times. Zenonia had more widespread hype =/
Seriously, you gotta be pretty homely or have some emotional problems to be sitting in the same thread every night posting things like "where is it!" "is it out yet?" "why isnt it out?!" "I think I'm gonna stay up another hour to see if it comes out". WTF, this is a $.99 iphone game!
I see... I didn't really check the thread. 3500 comments scared me... Well, if, as you said, 10 people were the craziest ones for this game, then we should wonder WHO are those people and WHY they're so crazy for Minigore... I have my personal opinion, of course. All I can say is that someone did a very good job for this...
I proudly say that I am one of those 10 people. Minigore is worth the wait and personally, I think it lives up to the hype. OpenFeint leaderboards, awesome gameplay, AWESOME music. The updates that will follow the release of Minigore will make this game even more epic.
I agree that the game is good, in fact I personally like it better than iDracula, but the game still has a long way to go before becoming great. A good foundation is set but that's about it for now. I will be looking forward to the updates.
