Guys don't give this troll food; he doesn't even know the important features in episode 2; like, oh yeah! INSANE mode; game save and resume; and more lines from egorapter...
ROFFLE at "trool". These "features" are a freaking joke. I don't need "food". Anyone who is not a MG fanboy has (finally...reluctantly...) come to realize that this game is nothing but hot air and empty promises.
I agree with you there. Sizzlakalonji says what he thinks and that is what i like about him, but that is what i dislike about him too.
Thank you both. I honestly have tried not to be so hateful, especially on this thread, but I kind of feel like we've all been conned to an extent.
I still don't feel that I'm being lied to, the work is in progress and we know it (do the videos, drawings and 99 beta testers lie?) they haven't lied, they didn't say that "The updates will come fast" or "The updates will not be rejected". The fault is with Apple and Mountain Sheep both, MS submitted 2 times a corrupt/crashing update and Apple has had approval times much longer than usually. And the language attack is quite cheap.
*sigh, poor minigore Aside from that do you guys think the same will happen to Hardgore? How do you guys think this whole Minigore fiasco will affect Mountain Sheep get followers for Hardgore? Well at the very least we have Alive 4 Ever and Other great games being released AND updated so far. *goes back to twiddling fingers until update...
sizzlakalonji, you can keep insulting us all day long but I don't know what you're trying to achieve. I have to say that as a person posting here with my real name it's not very fun to read your direct insults but I guess you gotta do what your nature calls you to do. Minigore is not some silly joke or random hobby for us, it's our real job and it's a real game. Coming into this thread reading your comments is like having some guy yelling insults when you're trying to work - that's why I don't feel like coming into this thread as often anymore. I wouldn't mind if it was constructive criticism about how to improve the game. This is an example of good feedback, might actually help make the game better: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=531906&postcount=3128 So you would have paid 10 dollars on release, guess what? We would have needed more like 400 000 USD to make a game of your dreams and it still would have taken us a good while to do - and we would have needed that money in advance to hire the army of coders and artists. Minigore is not that "fully featured" game obviously because we never got that check, it's a $0,99 game. I think you're not gonna like Episode 2 either, it's not content that you can easily put a number on. Instead it's gameplay tweaks that make the experience better all around. We're not trying to start a number war with Alive 4-Ever or other twin stick shooters. We're trying to utilize the existing features as well as possible before adding the new stuff. "Better difficulty curve" doesn't sound like much on paper but it affects everything throughout the play experience, and takes a good while to code. We probably could have added another gun instead of tweaking the shotgun, but what's the point of adding more if the earlier weapons are not properly balanced? Too bad you see it as incompetent con artists of Mountain Sheep presents: MiniBore. Not as a labour of love by a small indie game developer. --- As for everyone else who's interested in the status of Minigore we're definitely working on it full-time and our dozens of beta testers here at TA can probably confirm that too. -Timo
That's a very good point. At least I'd find it depressing if me and my work would be slandered because of some reason like that, even though I'd be working on it much. Of course it's okay to point out the flaws, but it's another thing how someone does it, and Sizzla has made some posts which are pure speculation.
Ah, cool. So bigger updates ARE being worked on. I dont know about you guys, but I'm satisfied. Now how about some news on Hardgore? ...but i guess to stay on Minigore subject, how far along are you guys now. I know Episode 2 is tweaks, but what's planned for Episode 3 or 4? Any news other than "we're working on it" would be greatly appreciated.
beta tester here, just want to say that i'm really enjoying episode 2. it's alot more fun to play imo. insane mode is just great. and just from a testers perspective, they are actively working and making changes and making this a better game.
Love the game, but bored with it at the moment. Looking forward to ep 2 whenever it comes out. Not sure what else there is to say or why there are 3200+ posts in this thread.
*bursts into laughter* Those are the great important features? What next, the super ability to adjust brightness ingame?
Insane mode does look cool, and of course it's better to include saving than not to include it, isn't it so?
My response to Timo "My Real Name" Vihola: #1: If I were trying to SELL something like you are I would use my real name. Since I was posting to a game forum 2,000 and some posts ago, I decided to choose a screen name which reflected my musical tastes. My name is Mike if it makes any difference at all. Which it doesn't. #2: I know this is your real job, and that's why I'm so adamant that we've been had. Do you know what happens to most people if they don't fulfill promises in a timely manner in their jobs? Do you know what happens if you don't meet deadlines? You SOLD this as an episodic game similar to Pocket God, with frequent, exciting updates. What have we received after months? Nothing. At all. You don't believe me? Look at the Minigore upcoming games thread. Of course it will take you 5 hours to do so, due to the ridiculous hype which you fed eagerly. #3: Yes, I would have paid ten dollars, but not for the "game of my dreams", but simply for the game you PROMISED...and not in 7 months time. I'm aware that you are an indie developer. I'm also aware that on a DAILY BASIS, you are getting outshone by other indie developers who are putting out better quality products for the same price. Now, you can choose to do three things with this information. a) You can deny my points validity, at which point I would be happy to give you a list as long as my arm of better $.99 games put out by indie developers since MG launched. b) You can get pissed off at your CUSTOMERS and write them nasty letters. Or, c) You can get motivated by the criticism and do better. #4: You're right. Based on what I know, this update if it ever appears will not be very impressive. That is what it is. The problem is that I have no confidence that the NEXT update after that will appear this year. You seem to be taking NO responsibility for the fact that there have been no updates for this supposedly episodic game. Now, I've had my say for the time being, and let the flaming of the deaf begin.
Who is the deaf here? You are the one who has posted dozens of posts around the minigore thread about the same points quite much (#2 and #3) and these points have been discussed for a very long time, and still you rant about them. I'm not going to add anything to that now. I do agree that it is taking long, but I don't like how all your posts are full of ranting. But hey, what's the point in arguing anyway. I hope everyone just would act even somewhat properly here, because it's kind of depressing and frustrating to read through pages and pages of wordly wars.
