well I just wanted a ideas from people anything you really want to see added? edit: i wouldn't wait b/c clearly we are going stir crazy and getting mad at each other in order to vent frustration and at this rate the update won't be out for a while
Yeah, I can hardly believe or understand how we have almost 3000 posts in this thread while most of them were useless, pointless, and just generally drooling - drooling, for 3000 posts. That's pathetic. They should invent a word for that, patheticism or something.
I thought this game was supposed to have a story eventually as well. With the rate updates (aren't) coming out and the fact that the next two updates don't mention a story, has the storyline idea been nixed. Gotta say the announcements so far sound really minor. I'm one of the people who bought this game because of (and to help fund) the promises -- but I was thinking an update every couple weeks, not every several months. Ya, Apple is taking forever, but so are the developers.
I think Minigore is proof of the sad fact that you shouldn't buy games off the App Store if they promise amazing updates but the base game itself is quite lacking. I wonder if this will carry on until Ep 2 gets bundled with Ep 3 and so on...
KNow what i think Timo needs to draw sokething now to calm people down or perhaps a new icon or sound bytes will do the trick! Minigore teaches me a lesson in trusting promises and i don't think apple is entirely to blame for this one!
Minigore - developer's perspective This is a long post but it's a long thread deserving of an official update. First, let me introduce myself. Hi guys, I'm Jouni from Mountain Sheep. I'm the credited Executive Producer of Minigore, you don't see me posting much because I'm mostly hiding in the background. Guys, we know you're frustrated waiting for the updates, and so are we here at Mountain Sheep. We know that every day passing, thousands and thousands of players are out there waiting. We're not sitting on our hands over here but rather working away at the game - we'd submit updates in parallel if we could, but Apple's process only allows for one at a time. We sent the first update for testing in early August and recognize this is a silly amount of time to wait for anything. We're working on getting a more direct line with Apple to make things go smoother. Anyone inside Apple seeing this - please let us know if you can help us out, we're abstracted by working through our publisher but really, really, really would appreciate a direct line. Everything we've been working on since launch doing right now is stuff we wanted to give free of charge to existing players. Small independent game developers like ourselves live (or die) on feedback from players, so not being able to keep a tighter iteration loop has been brutal for us. Apple doesn't let us share intermediate versions of the game, if it crashes on 5% of the devices then 95% must wait for problems to be ironed out. Without having an array of devices and OS versions to test with, this can be tricky. Apple doesn't deserve your anger either, they're trying to deal with 100K applications at the same time and doing more things right than wrong. When things go smoothly you almost don't notice, but when they go wrong it's all over the news. As as things stabilize we'd rather get to an update cycle that's closer to 2 weeks than 2 months. You have an open line to us, guys, so for good or bad feel free to have your say. We're simply a small team of guys working on stuff we love to do and to have so many people care about the game is something quite overwhelming. TL;DR: We're continuing work. Each day of delay costs us more in potential sales and more importantly broken hearts. The best thing for us would be seeing people enjoy the new additions and give us feedback. Mountain Sheep loves you all.
Like cristmas without the cost Hopefully iTunes will approve this one have an acheviement were you have to kill 9999 furries lol
Jouni, thanks for the introduction and welcome to the land of the eloquently spoken, kind hearted and always patient- Touch Arcade Anyway, I'm anticipating the update(s) and the longer it takes, I know I've got the equivalent of a whole new game that I'll be suprised with when the update hits And all this for only $.99! A win-win situation in my books. Btw, Illusion Labs did an awesome job with you guys collaboration on the induction of John Gore into Sway. Keep your spirits high, cheers, Richard
How about sticking glasses on the zombies and calling them App Store App Reviewers? I'd sure as hell feel a lot better about the wait if I got to shoot em later.
Wow Jouni really just touched my heart with that one. I think i may have more love for the devs of this game than the game itself...
