Anyone waiting should consider Alive4Dead. Not to bring up an argument, but I'd like to say I enjoy both for what they are. I'm enjoying and passing the time between Minigore updates with Alive4Dead, and it's the only game in the genre i keep on my phone. Definitely consider that game; if you like Minigore and A4E like I do, i'd love to hear of other games i might like!
Yeah A4E is definitely a good game, some people around here are raving about Battle Bears which is a similar idea (hold off endless waves of enemies), but it's from an over-shoulder perspective and you can't move from your position. It's got a lite version so it can't hurt to try.
Yah a4e looks pretty good but I still need the 3.0 update rrrggh. Does anyone know if minigore will have wifi online also?
reinhart menken: If you look closely there's an eskimo in a tower b o h i c a: There will be lots of bosses in Minigore and in the final episode you'll battle the Master of Puppets character from the splash screen. Before the puppet master you'll face of against the hideous & drooling Unibrow Jones in the fields of battle. The update we're submitting on Wednesday brings two new furries, flaming furry giant and flaming normal sized furry. We want to do similar "levels" as in Super Stardust HD (the levels end but you get a highscore)... speaking of which, check out their latest game Dead Nation. Looks fantastic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOxhsMIfnPQ Combzzz: It's a combination of Episodes 2+3, and it will be called Episode 2 even though it has much more features than the Ep2 that was rejected. The update will have the John Gore bandana icon. jmmsmth: You gotta practise passing 2000, otherwise you can't unlock Expert on the new version Insane is at 6000. Player called juantamura has a score of 43946, that's just SICK! Btw. the new OpenFeint is very slick. Illegal Danish: Co-op will be wifi and bluetooth. To answer some questions about Hardgore: Hardgore is kinda a mix of Diablo and Tower Defence game. It focuses on melee weapons, ammo for ranged weapons is limited. Character and town development is what drives you forward, it's less about reflexes and short play sessions. Before Minigore was released we put almost equal amount of work in Hardgore. After Minigore's release we haven't worked on the content of Hardgore nearly as much, but there's been design sessions every once in a while to advance the game. I don't think the game will be ready this year, we want to take our time with the game and make it purrrfect and the concept really doesn't lend itself to episodic updates. Hardgore: *don't club the baby seals One of the cool features of Hardgore are the short quests, or "challenges" as they are called in the game. They take place between the village defence bits and the objectives range from finding a pack of penguins and leading them to Santa. Or it could be defending helpless seals so they don't get carried away by the evil eskimos and made into coats. Walrus and few other animals can fight back hard (they will attack you if get too close) but they too will get eaten if you don't give your helping hand. Helping the animals grants you all kinds of rewards and as the animals become increasingly friendly they start defending the village with you and they also help channel the invading enemy masses. When you think about it a huge friendly walrus is like a turret... (you can carry stuff, you can feed/upgrade things - I was kinda surprised when I played Fat Princess because they did lots of similar things without seeing what we're doing) There's a certain bear who lost his arm in an accident involving a lake and a car. That bear will not make an appearance in Hardgore even though his elite driving skills and sharp teeth would be useful around the village(s) Some quest type features might make it over to Minigore but it's not as fitting genre for them, maybe something along the lines of Alive 4-Ever like "Kill 5 Giant Furries in 3 minutes" works. Minigore is an action game where you pretty much complete one game in one sitting, Hardgore is more like a campaign that you play over several play sessions. -Timo
Thanks tim for the info, appriciate it and looking more forward to hardgore. btw i also need to work on my skills seeing as I can barely get 5000
That's weird... just this morning a friend of mine showed me a really similar looking game, even the name is similar: Nation Red. Are they related in any way? Check out the Nation Red footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwAfC0tfMog It's a bit simpler but I'm still surprised at the similarities. Dead Nation does look awesome though... I'm so getting that.
Love how the mathematical symbols make it all seem so objective and conclusive... How can you argue with a "more-than" sign?
minigore > alive4ever i deleted alive4ever 10 minutes after downloading it. it will take a big update to a4e for me to play it again.
if the gameplay of A4E was combine with the graphics and style of minigore.... that would be quite a game
Ah but a4e doesn't seem like much of a pick up and go sorta game like minigore but I must admit that would be pretty awesome. And thanks timo for adressing my question.
I'm pleased to hear that crossovers won't make it in the full game Hardgore. I can live with lizzards and bears in Minigore...I guess.
Same here. I know it has a ton of content but I played a total of 15-20 minutes of A4E and had no desire to continue. It has since been deleted while Minigore is still on my phone. It just appeals to me more even in it's current bare state.
I think the graphics and charm of this game make it worth having. If this game had the depth of a4e that would be great. Also i like the 3/4 view better than top down.
