Actually if Apple wasn't so silly this wouldn't be in the top games period and only high production games would, considering that the new way of determining the top games is going to be based off of how much money they pull in and not amount of downloads. Hopefully this happens soon.
really? you think that would be better? to me, it would be useful from the point of view that you actually know who makes more money but the value of the game is ( imo ) better determined by its total number of fans ( i.e. downloads ). Either way is good with me though, won't mind the change in fact maybe i'll even like it better the other way, maybe.
Minigore dev diary Minigore update is taking shape, we'll send it to beta testers soon. Wednesday is the target date for Apple submission. So much talk about Hardgore... Santa isn't feeling too good so maybe I'll post an update about HG later tonight. Santa ran into some angry vikings and they stole his spleen: DannyV: That's awesome if it's true! I've been preaching on these forums a lot about revenue based top lists. It means much bigger budgets for iPhone games because then the 10 dollar games can get into the lists. (External advertising doesn't mean much in iPhone game sales, it's all about those lists) Like Dave I would like to see a link? Cheers, Timo
If that's true I'd like them to give you the option to view apps by # of downloads too. If two great games were released, one for $10 and one for $0.99, and both sold 100 copies... wouldn't it be unfair for the $10 game to have the advantage seeing as they're both genuinely good games?
You guys should make do some collaborate with the pocket god guys and you could make it so the pocket god pygmies are playable characters for multiplayer.
What I want is a system that mixes ratings/feedback, # of downloads, and revenue, maybe at a 65%/30%/5% ratio
...can't we just have tabs and click the one we want? It shouldn't be a big deal but knowing Apple it won't happen.
I think he was referring to my sig, and yes... it does rule. People who haven't played it are missing out.
MS did show interest about 500 post back or so. But if you are refering to Bolt Creative, then you are correct that they wanted to wait a while for another crossover.
