Dl'd baby! Between Space Invaders and this, my time is zappaed! What do I do if KillTest or Warp Gate get released? Only 23.88 hrs in a day
so anyone wanna explain what hardgore is in terms of gameplay different than this? Assuming it's not a myth?
For people who said you can stay in the same place and shoot in a circle and stay alive... you can do the exact same thing in iDracula and 7DA. Just don't do it. And it gets harder as you go. I personally like this the best. It just seems the most polished and finished. Can't wait for the updates!
This is a solid dual stick shooter with a refreshing aesthetic and the promise of an extended story. Nothing more. (And that's enough!) The gameplay is not "deep". Neither is iDracula. If you want deep, then play go or chess. This is about action and twitch response and kinetic eye/muscle coordination. iDracula has a bunch more weapons and enemy types and choices. But, in the case of iDracula, all these choices don't lead to any sort of meaningful depth. Minigore is superior in that it does not rush to incorporate all these details, but instead keeps it simple and focuses on tuning the gameplay with a minimalist set of participants. It's cheap, well designed fun! Enjoy it!
Walk around. Get the clovers. They're extra lives. You'll see them fill up the 3 slots on the top right.
Hardgore is suppose to be a Tower Defense (Or Village Defense, as Mountain Sheep says). Clovers aren't extra lives. Collect three and become BEAST.
I just played Minigore. It's pretty fun. It's graphics are very beautiful, in both style and power. The controls are the standard dualsticks, and work pretty well. The level isn't anything special, and while it helps gameplay, it's odd to be able to walk through rocks. The enemies come in different sizes, the bigger ones become more small ones as you shoot them. The soundtrack is ok, and the voice clips aren't anything special, some rambling about infinite ammo and furries. Keep shooting until you die. Some enemies drop clovers, collect three and you become a monster and can eat enemies for a few seconds. I think it's enjoyable for 99 cents. It starts simple, as in you don't even need to walk around, and becomes super hectic. One thing that annoys me is that it's dualsticks and not touch anywhere, so I'm not able to move my thumbs to get a better view the moment calls for, and there were times where I felt my thumbs blocked enemies that appeared. You can make the dualsticks invisible, but it's not the same thing. It's fun. Pretty shallow, but fun. Anyone looking for innovation or sophistication will be disappointed, but if you expect, and are looking for, a graphically impressive shooter that only has one trick up it's sleeve, then this is your game and you won't be disappointed. On a side note: Does anyone know how I can assign a picture to my name in OpenFient?
Remember that iDracula didn't have all the maps, weapons and upgrades that it did when it launched. MiniGore will have the same support, with more weapons, enemies, upgrades, co-op, characters, etc. it has already been confirmed. So just give it time, enjoy what you have, which cost less than a cup of coffee, and enjoy it. If you get bored, just come back when updates are released and the game gets better. This has been the case for a lot of games from the App store, the support is incredible and actually makes me want to go back to games I've either finished or got bored of.
Clovers are extra lives. You become the beast by collecting the fiery torch (or whatever it is). Go to the 1 minute mark in the video and you'll see it picked up. Conversely, collect one or two and get hit. A clover will disappear from the display on the top left.
