It's more "how little". Second picture is ~3 years old, you know, BEFORE iPhone 4 came out and now iPhone 4 is minimum for playing this game and even worse, it lags like crazy at certain points. More powerful devices came out so running more shiny graphics became possible. That's not advancement in terms of a game engine! Another thing. That picture with snow map is 3 years old and we have it in the game (improved a little bit, but better late than never) but 3 year ago, map was almost complete and that map makes 25% of all maps in Minigore 2 (we have 4 different maps) which raises question why there's so little maps in game if they had been created a long time ago... Conclusion, Minigore 2 is better than 1 and worth 2 (now 1) buck(s) but it's not far from original Minigore artwork wise.
I hope there will be some kind of cloud type of sync at some point but I can't make a promise how and when such would arrive. I know we're getting a lot of wishes for such and I'd like it myself.
Yep. Monstrosity disappeared (cleared space around character) and the night continued to progress as if Monstrosity was defeated. Also, when you resume the game (as in open up the game without the game being backgrounded), at least with Kid Gore, the voice FX changes back to John's.
Oh my God, I am SO going to hate you guys for these types of additions! A few things... The newest 'glitch' I noticed happens when coins drop outside the border of the playing field. I killed an enemy along the bottom side of the Graveyard board and since I was so close to the edge, the coins he dropped fell outside the playing field and I was unable to pick them up. I don't know if this applies to every border of every board, but I would assume yes. This point has been mentioned by others (and maybe myself, can't recall) about not knowing how many of the little green clover pads you have at any given time. I think Minigore 1 had them posted at the top of the screen, so you would know how many you had gathered at any given point. I am hoping this is done for this version too, as it really affects gameplay knowing and not knowing how many you have. I also wanted to comment on how much I like how the enemies take on damage from the other enemies. It is devilishly satisfying to see the bosses take out the smaller zombies around them. I especially love forcing the bosses into a circular pattern, in particular the Cossack General, so the projectiles are timed to take out the smaller zombies that relentlessly follow me. Fantastic.
Seems odd but specific enough that we can try reproduce this and see what happens. Was it the first appearance of Monstrosity (where he runs), or the one late in the level which finishes on him being killed? Yeah, also if you swap characters around in the middle of a night the voice continues on the pitch of the original starting character for that stage... we should have fixed all these for the next update now. Thanks for helping us track them.
** Bug workaround ** If you run into the crash-on-launch bug and don't have a recent enough backup to restore to and have no other means of getting your Minigore 2 fix before the next update is out, there's a workaround... This is a bit technical so please don't do this without backing up and being sure of what you're up to. You don't need to be jailbroken for this, but this involves poking around the files on your device. Before doing anything at all, back up your device first. You need to use an application like i-FunBox (free) to navigate to the Minigore 2 "Documents" folder (if you're using other tools, you might be looking for ms.games.minigore2 AppData/Documents/) and find and nuke all .dat and .bak files there *except* Minigore.dat ... The other files hold the progress for individual stages and if corrupted by a crash may stop the game from launching. Do not delete Minigore.dat, that's where your progress for your character, levels and weapons is kept. After deleting other potentially corrupted files your game should, with any luck, launch again and the only thing you've lost is current sessions in each stage. If you wish to help us double-check our crash fixes, you can zip up the files from the Documents/ folder for us before deleting anything and send it to us and we'll test it with the latest version of Minigore 2. We appreciate all the save files and bug reports you send us. The next update should fix crash problems for everyone, so this isn't meant as a "solution" but rather a band-aid just in case. If someone goes forward and attempts this, please post your results in either direction. Just to make it clear; always backup first so you don't break things by accident. If you're not sure what to do, it's probably better not to do anything at all. Here's a screenshot to help you along. This is what you see, more or less, after clicking on Minigore 2 in your list of all applications in i-FunBox.
So, when I get the iPad mini, I will lose all my unlocked characters and guns (and Hardcore mode), right?
Even if we haven't implemented cloud sync yet, you can use the software I used in my previous post about the bug workaround to move a save file between devices. Just copy them locally, and then on to your shiny new Mini, and you're done. They won't automagically update each other, but at least you can pick up where you left off.
Happened with the one at the end. Also, if you pause the game and hit "Play", it triggers your character's weapon. And another thing is when the game ends and takes you to the shop screen, if you had your thumb on the stick to shoot and let go a bit late (as in just as the shop appears), the release triggers the Play button and starts the next night. Possibly require an initial tap down in every menu in order to trigger buttons? And also found another "cheat-ish" bug. I'll PM it to you.
Well i just faced the crash bug and did what Jouni said and problem solve so i think anyone have this problem for now could try this Jouni i also did a backup of the saves i have no problem in seding them over to you but could you tell me to what email adress
Good to hear it worked, I certainly would like a copy of the save file so we can see if the bug looks like the same one we already fixed. I'll PM you with address.
More on topic, we found Minigore 2 runs better on it than on the iPad 2 and the form factor is lovely. iPad Mini 2 with retina will obviously be the one to get next year, probably not in 3 months yet, though... probably.
Hey So, Minigore 2 is awesome. Was really into the original Minigore, but you guys took it to the next level! I think, I found a strange bug, and I want to talk to you about it. I usually play with the game music off and sound on, so I can listen to my music/podcasts. When I switch to SMS or accepting a call on my iPhone and resume Minigore 2 right after, the game music starts even if the option is down to zero. The only workaround is to kill the app and restart it. Do you know about that strange thing, or is it just me? (I found that "bug" on the release version, and it's still there in the updated one) Thanks for the awesome game. -Lcfr.
Another bug with the resuming (occurs randomly I think) is upon resumption, SFX and Voice FX are muted and can only be restored via killing the app. Also, with the voice bug, it seems voices can mix too. Switched form Kid to Jerry and resulted in a super high pitched mix of the two Finally, shouldn't the top tier grenade launcher shoot 3 grenades ala Minigore 1?
