This approximating things is what gets us in trouble, but I'll say that now that the crash fix is out the challenge fixes take pretty much top priority. The to-do list is long but I'm personally leaning towards another quick fix update before the bigger content stuff is finalized. We don't have hard schedules, actual producers or design documents at the company, we're rather flexible and unpredictable that way.
I knew I forgot something with my last post, was going to mention this... I ran into this same issue with Major Mayhem when they changed the icon to say 'Free' on it and then when they changed it back. For some reason and at random times, you have to reboot the phone to get the icon to change. It's a crazy weird digital world we live in.
alright Jouni i deleted my post.my goal was to inform you guys. it wasnt to tell people to do this. i personally think it breaks all the fun to do this thing
I personally think of file size much less with the really good games. In the case of Minigore 2, you guys could double what it is currently and still be far, far less than a lot of other games out there. Fine by me Keep it rolling out.
Thanks, I agree it's better sometimes just not to know. Now, if Mr. Anon edited his quote most people never need to see it. This is actually the reason I can't use money to make my games easier with IAP, I want a hard challenge which is what I sign up for in the first place... so a cheat would ultimately really just reduce my fun in any game, even if power-leveling for a few minutes could be a laugh.
For selling the game, it's easier to be under 50MB so people can download it off 3G/4G instead of having to be on wifi. This lets you tell all your friends to buy Minigore 2 and they can do it right away instead of slacking off and forgetting later.
Ign: The return of john gore IGN just gave Minigore 2 one of the best reviews so far. Their 9.1/10.0 score pushes Minigore's metascore to 90/100 on Metacritic making this the highest average we've had for any of our games. John Gore is back! http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/12/12/minigore-2-zombies-review Mountain Sheep loves you.
I just want to say that I for one, very much appreciate your mindset with regard to file size. Particularly for a game like this that I would want to keep on my device indefinitely and return to, as opposed to one I'll finish and never play again.
I couldn't be happier with this game, really it's everything the original was and much more. But I have to whine about the game icon change, I loved the original one, guess I just gotta move it from page 1 to pg 5 on my device
If the biggest thing people are unhappy with is the icon change, we're doing hell of a job. Don't worry, I'm sure the zombie will return at some point. Of course, I wish Apple let us have a switch in the app to pick the icon...
Hardcore mode is crazy. No rechargeable health, really fast enemies, and a lot of them. But man do you get rich. I beat one night on hardcore and got about 60k.
I totally disagree with the negative feedback on the icon. I thought the icon was a little too gruesome for my home screen before, even though I use the app all the time. I have everything on the first page with loaded folders, but I keep two spots for games I play most often. Since the update, Pitfall! has been sent back into the folder and Minigore 2 is now chillin' at slot 1 on row 4.
We didn't want you guys to run out of challenge any time soon. The way you gain money in the Hardcore mode also makes getting single-use items more reasonable, and for some pretty intense sessions.
How about a mode that is called infinite ammo mode which gives the characters infinite ammo for their starting weapons (i.e. Santa with unlimited hammer, Ninja with unlimited sword)? All other weapon pickups would have finite ammo. Even a mode where there was infinite ammo for the starting weapon but the tradeoff here would be that there were no weapon drops. Just your character (I'm going to use ninja as an example here) and an unlimited sword. This mode could be turned on and off like Hardcore mode. It would be a cool unlockable to work towards (my opinion).
Off topic but any chance the original HD version will go retina (or at least the icon)...it looks bad next to the new one
In the spirit of giving feedback... Id like to see the flame on the 3rd clover again... like in the first Minigore. There is no way to know how many clovers you've collected, and its way to hard to accurately keep track. Also, the penguins were my favorite character in the first Minigore. I was delighted to see them here in this game, but the one-use format doesn't work for me. Id pay the premium price of $120K to unlock them and turn them on or off at my desire. At $30K per use though, I'll probably just stick to playing them in the first Minigore only.
Its not a single use, when you buy it you can put it on or off Looks like i'm the only one that doesn't like much either the first and the new icon, i would like more something a la bike baron and just use a artwork of the game without the "2"
