Contrary what the title says the Hardcore mode is bought once and then it's permanent item you can turn on and off. We just didn't have any better place to put it while also communicating what the other REAL single-use items do. Adding a new category for just one item didn't seem like a good idea either. We'll try to think of better wording which communicates both properly. Any suggestions are welcome
This update will still work ok on iPod touch 4th generation, but in the future there might be some updates which won't work that well on it. The reason is that the 4th gen iPod has only 256 MB of memory and all the other devices we support have at least 512 MB. Once we add more content 256 MB might not be enough but at the moment it will work.
We have found the issue, we're working to get it resolved in Update 2. Along with furries which are making a return and some other goodies
Yea like Timo said the hardcore mode is a permanent purchase for 120.000 or 130.000 you can put that on or off I think the best solution would be just to create a new category when you have creates like 2 or 3 new modes mores
Welcome back Timo! Oh, and I agree with TheFrost, old icon was way better... I am even slightly hesitant to update because I like the first icon so much!
I personally think the new icon is fine, mainly because having John on there is more recognizable to Minigore, and I am assuming that is why it was changed.
There will be a lot of complaints even if they mention in the update because some people will update without checking. Is it possible to place a $0 IAP in game, then use a big warning sign asking iPod 4th gen users not to 'buy' it?
If this is the only mode you will be adding, then I would rename the 'Single-Use Items' category to something to include the Hardgore mode, since it is in fact not a single-use item. Maybe something along the lines of 'Boosts and Modes' which would include both the single-use options as well as Hardgore. If you are going to add future modes, then I would start a new category altogether and just title it 'Modes' or something as such.
I would add "Hardcore mode" into the level select section, at the end Edit: It says "Unlock" instead of "Use" like the other ones
Forgive my question but there are a LOT of pages to go back through So there are no scores besides coins collected and no high scores per level? So you're just replaying levels to get enough cash to purchase upgrades? Ok, and last question: upgrading characters does what? Increases walking speed? Thanks! Edit: and I mean none of those questions to sound negative whatsoever. I'm having a blast with this and just want to completely understand.
1) Yes, only to buy new weapons, characters, upgrades, levels, doing missions, and hardcore more, and its fun. Leaderboards would be appreciated though. 2) And yes, increases stamina, speed and much much more. Your character becomes stronger and increases melee attacks too. Get it, you will play it for hours and hours straight
Yeah, that is a good idea, since it is somewhat of a level in itself. A few more suggestions: 1) When your companion is active, your weapon stamina bar disappears and is replaced by the companion stamina bar. It would be cool if one were on top of the other. At this point I look at when the companion bar begins and guesstimate how much time I have left with the current weapon. 2) I wish your character had a little more speed, in general, and I don't want to feel forced to buy the IAP boots every round when I am still upgrading weapons. I am experiencing situations where I am finding no weapon drops and I simply cannot escape certain enemies, especially when you get into Night 4,5 and 6. I don't mind a challenge, but when you can't successfully run away, then something is missing. 3) More voices, whatever you guys can fit. I really enjoy the commentary, but obviously not every character has voice. If nothing else Jenny Gore should have voice, since she is part of the family and all. Let's not be sexist here Mountain Sheep! LOL
Oh I've already got it and have been playing it a lot recently. Level 25 already Just wanted to be clear on everything I was doing. Thanks! And I'm not even super interested in global leaderboards, more so just my personal bests.
This was a bit of a hack in the UI because we wanted to submit the fix for the crash bug as fast as possible. Without making promises, I'd like us to end up with a list of modes to switch on and off one day. The reason the "Abilities" were changed to "Single-use items" was to clarify the communication so people wouldn't be surprised and then disappointed after purchasing, say, an extra heart and losing it to death right away.
Glad you're enjoying the game. We have plans I can't fully go into yet, but it was important also to balance and iron out the bugs before leaderboards make much sense. We do want to encourage competition between users, and hope to add something to make that possible.
