You could say that's his "intro" Anyways just keep playing the stage and he will come back and then you can kill him... Just stay away from him, his scythe has massive range and takes away 1 heart per swing... also, his charge can be dangerous
A little summary: +: It feels like a real upgrade to the first one in many many ways: the upgrade weapons, the different scenarios, the different characters, all the bosses, the leveling up, missions, etc all to extend the longevity to infinity and beyond. Best IAP system I ever seen, its really generous... one time I got 50,000 coins in a single game. Graphics looks wonderful, controls are perfect, there is a huge amount of zombies on-screen to kill with lots of gore. Lots to work towards to, doesn't seem to end the fun -: Lack of GameCenter leaderboards and achievements. A stats page. Conclusion: I am going to play this for a long time and with the coin doubler I can play this forever and ever without any worries. Final Rating: 4.5 out of 5. Awesome
We're improving the wording a bit to make it more obvious that they're single-use items. As the game progresses you're making a *lot* of coins so the consumables are there to give you spending options without the coins become completely trivial.
I like the idea, but at the same time I'm sure the guys won't like how much unexciting work adding something like this to the user interface might be. Still, we take all feedback under consideration. The challenges give good enough reason to unlock all the weapons, but once you've unlocked them I'd still rather stick to my heavy cannons... I think we could change that to dual, or just not care... but well spotted.
5/5 for me, for everything you just listed and then some. It's nice to look at the consumables as being used to extend the gameplay after you're fully upgraded, since I pretty much loathe them from any other perspective. Jouni, I made a comment on the previous page inquiring about the ability to de-equip weapons, in case you didn't see my post. Check it out if you get a chance.
The bug is actually the result of a stage's progression being saved at a bad moment, resulting in a save file that isn't properly read by the current AppStore version... there's no confirmed thing that would cause or avoid the bug, although it seems exiting the game always through the shop screen rather than swapping out mid-game might reduce its occurrence. The fix was submitted on the 8th, it's now the 10th so with any luck we could see the update live within the next couple of days.
I just responded to it just before you posted this. What, you think we'd actually skip posts in a 500+ reply thread?
Haha, you answered at the same exact time as my previous post My perspective on this is 1) Weapon customization (being able to equip/disable what you want to appear) adds longevity to the gameplay, since you can approach the game from many different directions. One example would be using straight Melee attacks with no guns, or vice versa. 2) I see it as a redundancy to have single shot weapons appear when you can use dual shot weapons, like you said about the dual cannons. I actually deleted the game and re-installed so I could only buy the dual weapons (except for the default weapon). I just stuck with the machine gun and waited until all the dual shot weapons became available and bypassed the single shots. Of course I had to take this route because I can't disable weapons. One thing I loved (among many things, actually) about Zombieville 2 was that the single uzi morphed into the dual uzi when it was fully upgraded. Give this one some thought as maybe an option. I really think it would be interesting. I was also wondering if there is a determining factor for how often weapon drops occur and how the game chooses which weapons appear in the drop. Sometimes it feels as though weapons drop in bunches rather quickly and other times I am walking around and can't find any. Also, there will be times when one type of weapon appears over and over and other times there is more of a mix. I definitely know I'm not getting my dual cannons enough! Haha. And I also think I noticed a glitch... When your character turns into the 'raging bull' I noticed that, while in this form, I can sometimes still shoot my weapons, while other times I can't. This doesn't seem to be intentional. Thanks!
Game Impressions Hello to all. I just bought this game yesterday, and must say, I really am loving this one. Let me share what the good and the bad are in this game. Good: Challenges-They make me want to keep playing Minigore, it makes me want to come back and achieve everything, where in Minigore 1, the only thing you earned was coins. Bosses-The bosses are generally hard to beat, adding an extra difficulty to trying to beat the game, making me want to play to beat them even more. Money Flow-The amount of money you earn per match seems to be perfect. Not too much to the point where I can unlock everything, but not too little to the point where I must buy iAP's. Graphics-Much improved from Minigore 1. I really like the blood animations. Bad: Not enough explanation-Have a guide that tells me what is what, and such. Lag-Only happens on my iPhone 4, not iPad 3. A bug where when reentering a map, if there is cash on the ground and the intro is still going on while you collect the money, the money doesn't count. Suggestions: Co-Op-PLEASE ADD CO-OP, PREFERABLY ONLINE, NOT LOCAL (But make a local choice too please ) iCloud Sync-Please make a choice to sync data between devices! I would love this so much! Minimap-A map in the top right (optional) of a layout of the map, showing where I am in the map. A home screen, instead of just jumping straight in the zombie killing (again, optional)
The only reason that multiplayer wasnt a hit in the first minigore, was because no one was able to try it. The chances of two devices with minigore on them being in the same household on the same LAN network was slim... especially at the time that the multiplayer update was released. iPad was in its infancy, and barely anyone had one. I bought minigore in 2009, but wasnt able to try the multiplayer until recently. It was a two year delay for me, and I was only able to do it because I recently bought a 2nd device. I think that if multiplayer had been designed to work through game center, it would have been a completely different story.
@Jouni First of all, I do love the game, it's just as addicting as I hoped it'd be. There are some things that are nagging me though, namely the lack of instructions and explanations. It's mainly three things. 1. What are the different colored fleurishes on the zombies? Green/purple/blue, what do they do? They are harder to kill, but is there anything else? 2. The abilities.. It couldn't hurt to actually explain somehow that your 10k souls for the boots will only last you until death. No perms. 3. Melee weapons, how do they level? Also, I'd love to see some kind of encyclopedia à la Plants vs Zombies. Some info and stats about all the enemies. HP and such. Combine this with stats for the weapons as well so we can devise tactics for what weapons to level for which occasions. Overall though, awesome job! From a fellow Scandinavian (swede)
Hey Jouni! Thank you so much for your answer. this is the game I'm enjoying the most in recent times. It's simpy amazing! Please tell me once the achievements appeared on Game Center all my progress in game will be "transferable"... and I don't have to do it all again! Congratulations on the hard work! you really improved in every department of the first game and I'm sure you'll get AWESOME reviews everywhere!
Now I'm stuck with two challenges that aren't registering. The survive two days and sheepify 60 enemies. It's stuck at 53. Wtf
I'm stuck at survive for two nights and enrage the bloody cat and moose. Wth I need to do to enrage something? Kill it in rage mode? Wait until it does something? I've tried everything and I can't pass it.
So does this run at all on iPod touch 4th gen? Also didnt someone say it did now but would no after the updates released?I will be getting a iPod 5 soon and I assume it would run fine on that. Thanks
Enrage means to collect three clovers with a specific character. The cat is the bike baron I believe. The moose is either Jenny gore or zombie Jenny gore.
