For what it's worth, I think it's strange these other companies are not taking the opportunity to do the same. Big or small developer, it's easier to answer questions than it is to spend years making a game in the first place. Glad you like Minigore 2!
That's well within the realm of possibility, although the real problem with Bike Baron's IAP is that it's so hidden away nobody really finds it to begin with. If it were somehow easier to discover, you'd likely soon find John on a bike.
I hope I don't derail this thread by asking, but I need some help finding a game - and the Purchase part of the app store hasn't worked for me since the 6.0 update. There is another dual stick shooter game (and at least two sequels) very similar to Minigore - in fact I confused it in the past with Minigore - and it even has a zombie (plus now a knight or monster) spinoff. Several in the series have gone free. For the life of me I can't think of the names nor find it it in app store. I am recommending several dss's to a friend (such as Bug Heroes, Pocket Rpg, Inferno+ etc., and others like it),and want to include this other series if I can find the names.
There's the Santa Pack, includes Santa + Santa outfit for Domovoi + 10 extra levels. Bike Baron is now out on the Mac, too, in the Mac AppStore... another of these things that only few people know because we don't advertise.
You're probably thinking about the games by Triniti Interactive? I think they've initially been inspired by John Gore's blockheaded design... And yes, we still think it's okay to like, play and recommend games other than ours. A dollar or two is not exactly stopping you from playing *all* the games you enjoy. Edited just to add the game names; the "Call of Mini" series and "TinyLegends: Crazy Knight". Of course we'd prefer it if nobody got confused, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I've got a couple of kickstarter bluetooth controllers on the way, and I was wondering if you guys would support icade with this game, seeing as how ice rage did as well?
It's possible that we could, especially if those bluetooth controllers start to gain popularity. With Ice Rage we managed to solve the directionality issues pretty well, and control didn't really feel impaired even though there were just 8 directions of movement. We'll keep this on the wish lists.
.. And with Minigore's success, someone saw a market opportunity. I'm surprised they never made a game called Angry Minis or Mini Biker.
Ok, glad you are considering it. There are quite a few of these controllers that are coming out supporting the icade protocol, and they seem to be getting more and more success. Hopefully you guys find it easy enough to work in.
I want to take this opportunity to say to Jouni that it really something to see a game developer reach out to the fans and answer so many questions like this. Mountain sheep, Madgarden, and Rocketcat will always get my money for this very reason. I love all the games they make as well. Anyway, I think I have an unhealthy addiction to this game because I kid you not, I had a nightmare that when the update came out it deleted all my progress!
I'm sure it's been said on here but this game is screaming for iCloud support! I'm never going to play this on one of my devices because I've spent too much time playing this on a different device. I would love to get off my couch from playing iPad, and resume my game on the iPhone on the go. Great, addicting game that will only be enhanced by this feature. In the works, or not likely?
This game is of the hook good!! At first I thought it would be more of a kiddie game but I was wrong, it's fun for any age. Graphics are great. Gameplay and maps are awesome. Really glad I purchased this game. Mc4, mini gore zombies 2, the woods and into the dead. One of the best weeks for games on iOS.
